If anybody hasn't figured it out after 6 years then I'll explain it lol. The reason DD was kidnapped was so that they could frame him for robing the bank. It's why they didn't kill him, and why they planted a hair clip the the scene of the bank, it's also why they drove his limo past the bank.

I was wondering about that! It almost seemed as if the kidnapping was unrelated but it felt a bit too intentional to have nothing to do with it! And then, my deduction is - it's the cop that brought attention to the Limo that was one of the crooks! After all, he could later lord it around "Why would a Detective that lives two blocks from here be late by an hour and come on a limo from that direction?" - he drew attention to it on purpose. A wonderful set-up really, and if he was hiding among the police for a while, he could have swiped the hairclip from the office. Coz the Hairclip is what threw me for a loop, since in the drawing the detectives hair is loose. BUT To keep a deer-stalker in place, a hat pin or a hair-clip could be used. One would just need to slip out, or someone got their mitts on a hair.

I don't know about anyone else, but based on my interpretation of the song, Detective is actually a former criminal (no one knows this, of course) who decided to give up that life and use his knowledge against other criminals. It's just that the "I put myself in your shoes" line seems to stick out to me more than the others (and besides, his name is listed as Detective Detective, that can't possibly be his real name). Another thing is that laugh at 2:05. An alternative is that he is still a criminal, and he is actually solving his own crimes (I find this one less likely, but still a possibility). Of course, he may just be really smart, but it's a lot more fun to think that the detective used to be/is a criminal. This part is going off the assumption that he is/was a criminal, that might explain why the people in the limo didn't immediately kill him and actually helped him to the crime scene that he was supposed to be at. But most importantly, I found this song today on one of my Spotify daily mixes, and I immediately fell in love with this song.

ngl I have been listening to this song quite a lot lately. The first time I heard it I was simply amazed. Not only your voice type, but also your vocal technique is wonderful. +Wyvern Hmmm, I think it's kinda hard to explain. You shouldn't take the word growl too literally though. He has a really nice singing technique, and sometimes, it seems like the sounds come from the back of his throat, you know, kinda raspy (but I don't really like using the word raspy since it sounds sort of negative imo). I've heard many people trying it out, but it's very hard to do/learn. But in this song, it was very well done. I was really amazed when I heard it, especially around 3:40, so good////

I figured this would be a good video of Criminal Idol to comment on: I... have been and still is quite depressed for several years now, and somehow I keep coming back to this series. It makes me happy, I think, every time I listen to these songs. It feels like a mix of emotions all over the place. Some songs, really bring you back from the dark, A Reason For Suffering, No one's In This Alone, and Idol Bombing are most prevalent in doing that. Then you have some, that really feel alien to me, Life Might Take Us for example, as it's more... happy? Than some other ones. Thank you Static-P, a lot, for creating this series, for working on this for so many years, and really not just dropping it like so many other creators out there do with various serieses. Wherever you are, whenever you are, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, because I can assure you I am not alone in being positively affected by your music and story-telling. Your song Adventurer has also helped me throughout dark nights. I am sure you've also heardt his a million times, but I do not care about that, truths can be repeated. Your voice is extremely good, and versatile, which if I may assume, you have practised a lot. So all credits to you on all the work you put in for this. I love you Static-P, I can't say that for many people, and I don't even know you; but what you are doing, intentional or not, is enough to warrant my love.

I am really in love with these lyrics, there is a story behind it, it was like a musical! Also, I love your voice and also the music and the mixing, gosh you're so talented. I was quite surprised on the low views though, this song deserves more views. Evidence it was a member of the police. Hands: cuffed. (not tied) With their hands on their sides. Like they're about to pull their guns. (Officers usually use waist holsters, and would likely be instinctively trained to have their hands near their weapon in tense situation, like lets say a well renowned detective who's they're in the car with.)

Every time I listen to this song it's like reading an Encyclopedia Brown chapter. I keep trying to figure out *how* DD cracks the case! I think I'm finally starting to figure it out... When DD says "...hands on their sides like they're about to pull their guns. Think I know where they came from, judging by heir demeanor..." That's probably the point at which he knew these were police officers. They probably showed their police training by the way they held their guns. But if that's true then he would have all he needed to know from that moment. He knew these officers that had kidnapped him were up to no good, and he knew they wanted him to be at the bank at a specific time, so he knew whatever he would be looking at would be a diversion. The real question is, why did the criminals let DD go in the first place? Why not keep him locked up until after the cop had gotten away with the money? Were they trying to use him to frame somebody else?
