@ThrowAway-ji1cf This young woman is driven, thorough, dedicated, smart. She may or may not know about "Brandon's law", but she is eager to learn and help victims. This is the kind of person the US needs in law enforcement, politics, science, education, and any other part of society. She is the type of person to advance human knowledge. I hope that you can at least see this. Decency, drive, love of knowledge, kindness, intelligence, expertise, and leadership where she would delegate jobs to the people she leads etc are all terrific positive characteristics. This woman will go far. The US is lucky to have her. You should be proud of her! Cheers from Canada! 👋🇨🇦🌠
@ThrowAway-ji1cf6 ай бұрын
@@abelis644 Brandons law is something enacted in most of the United States in 2008 or 2009 that requires law enforcement to investigate a missing persons case from the moment they're reported missing, no matter their age. This woman says that they couldn't investigate until 24 hours had passed, which is patently wrong and is wasting the most vital part of a search for a missing person. After 48 hours there's something like a 70% chance you're looking for a body. If you spend 24 hours going "well, he's 18 or older so I kinda have my hands tied" you're giving up your best chance. She may be a fantastic detective but she doesn't know basic facets of American law and is tying her own hands with red tape that hasn't been valid in almost a decade.
