I remember this case very well because the detective truly didn't want it to be her. I remember the cop reporting his gun stolen. She tricked him into going to the station to "help" w/the case, but he was actually the prime suspect. He had broken into his neighbors apartments as well. They were all young women. This was an incredible catch. He would have been patrolling the area, hunting his victims still to this day. Suzanna, i'm so sorry it had to be you, sweetheart. Rip Suzanna! What you have to remember is officers/jurors/judges/Detectives/judges/jurors/officers are humans with emotions too, And dealing with cases like this often takes a tremendous toll on their mental/physical health and will stay with them for years after the case has ended. They might not cry in court but often at home. And an experienced detective crying in court shows what a truly heinous crime this was.
