Really wish you guys would get together and release a new one. One of my favorite death metal albums of all time. I'm a musician and singer myself .I have about 8 different vocal styles. I still don't think I will ever touch what you guys can do (Fleshbeast Akura Rhema, put that in the search engine and you will hear my project that I do by myself. I can't touch what you guys do).

For the original members who made this album Joe, Frank, Rich, Mike....I agree with 1 reviewer saying that Deteriorate was on the brink of revolutionizing the entire genre of death metal when they made this album! Its that f***ing good! It's fun, original, fresh and filthy as f***! Its got replay value out the ass! Im not sure why Deteriorate decided to stray from their path in a different direction but In my humble opinion it was a mistake as Deteriorate could of been a household name in the realms of death metal with a few more releases like this one! Suffocation who? Lol. Anyhow I hope you guys are doing well. If you ever make you way to Cincy for a venue Id love to see ya ☺. In the mean time Ill probably be banging my head to Rotting in Hell on a daily basis 😁

Believe it or not, these guys played in my friend's basement at a party. They brought in a bunch of stacks and wailed. Luckily, the house was a stand-alone out in the sticks or someone would have called the cops for sure.

One of the best unsung Death Metal albums of the 90's. I spoke with Joe on MySpace back in the day. He said they wrote all of it when they were 16. He didn't have fond memories. He has moved on musically. Last time I talked to him, he said he accepts the fact that people dig it. People didn't like what happened to them with "The Senectuous Entrance". They went Black Metal. I like it still. Not as much though. Nothing like youthful exuberance to make a great album.

I remember picking this up at Camelot music in Lexington, Ky. of all places. Had been looking for it for months (fall of 1993) and couldn't believe my luck. Metalmaho, im not sure you actually talked to Joe, sorry. Got some REAL facts here, since many also seem unclear on some things: I managed them and some others back then, till an accident ended me for awhile. I actually helped form them, It started out as a side project from 2 Philly area bands, Anathema, (copyrighted and toured US too) Thrash band formed around 87 (Rich on drums, then frank guitar) and Existence, Technical Metal formed around 90 (Mike on bass and vocals, Tom guitar) it ultimately ended both of those bands and allowed from any others to start. When Tom left Joe from Entrapment joined in, bit of an overlaps. There were many lineup changes as well including John as mentioned above. From what I hear and there is still some incantation of them playing with no members even close to the original generations even. I have no idea how that is even happening. But it was great for a while at least. So Joe was the youngest and about 20 years old at that time he joined. The vocals you hear are all natural, so to speak; and not forced or altered. That was his speaking voice. Mike was in an accident and tore his vocal cord. It was so sick and raw we told him he had to be a vocalist. That was one of the main things that really set them apart. One of the best Death metal bands from the area then. Profanatica was another band i managed at the time so I had a record deal with Osmose lined up until my accident. Unfortunately there was issues with one band member in particular that call them to be blacklisted in a lot of circles. They had a difficult time finding the right support for quite a while. JL America (i JL Glover was not affiliated with them) screwed them a lot too. I felt bad because I loved the rest of the guys so much. They really could have went very far. They supposedly disbanded after they had moved to Florida for while. Most went on to do other things later. Many are still active in the scene now. Joe is in a band called We Our War, with the drummer from Anvil Bitch. And the list goes on. I do have extra copies of the CD I was thinking of digging up and putting on eBay. If anyone is interested feel free to write me...

This is the album that got me into Death Metal. The intro sounded to me like someone falling into Hell and suffering. I could understand the lyrics and it blew me away, it was perfection and I have never got tired of it. Raw, brutal, savage and evil as fuck. I still own the cd, all digital now.
