Enjoyed your video - - thanks for sharing. I am modifying a Craftsman aerator to incorporate the tines for dethatching. Your video confirmed my design decision. Regards.......

GREAT VIDEO! This is EXACTLY the kind of information what I was looking for before I added the de-thatcher option to my John Deere 42" lawn sweep. Thank you!

Additionally, kudos to your selection of camera angles. Like myself, you seem to appreciate that the most holistic picture is told from multiple viewpoints.

Appreciate the feedback, I had questions before I bought mine and couldnt find the information I was looking either. I yry my best to create informative videos to help others out so I greatly appreciate your feedback. Its extra work with all of the angles but i feel like it completes the story! I was told when I called people that made my lawn sweeper, to not go over 5mph it will keep you from burning gears up on wheels that turn brushes, just a little preventative maintenance

Was looking at tow behind dethatchers and this seems like a way better solution especially if you don't have a bagger. I was not looking forward to collecting all the thatch manually and I think just trying to mulch the thatch would be counterproductive.

I appreciate you stopping in! Agrifab has a very similar setup and can be found on places like Amazon. I think you could order this online from Menards as well if you were really interested!

Thank you for posting this. I'd been considering the Yardworks sweeper but wasn't sure how durable it was. Quick question - something I can't seem to find elsewhere online - how easy does the sweeper fold up for storage? Can you store it vertically with the bagger compressed? Other sweepers can flatten semi-easily. Not sure if this is the case with the Yardworks sweeper. Thank you.
@k6outdoors Жыл бұрын
It can be stored vertically however you must take out the supports that keep the bag extended to do such. Its not ideal for that but it will work. Thanks for stopping in!

Will this work on the John Deere sweepers? Believe they’re made by brinly hardy if I’m not mistaken. Man this would be a game changer if it worked on my John Deere sweeper

I don’t know why manufacturers haven’t made universal platform all in one tow behind attachments. Seems like it would be fairly simple to have a tow behind that can do dethatching and lawn sweeper, core aerator and broadcast spreader or even sprayer. I don’t want to have 4-5 different tow behinds for it.

It really is a wonder sometimes why something like this doesnt exist. I know alot of times muti-use products are not good at any one specific thing, which could make sense in this situation. Thanks for stopping in!

Im just wondering how often I will use it. I guess the question is how often is dethatching required. I’m in Georgia trying to revive my Bermuda
@k6outdoors Жыл бұрын
Technically dethatching is never required. It does however promote a healthier lawn, reduces weeds and will make it thicker. Typically, i dethatch fall and spring here in iowa. Thanks for stopping in!

@@k6outdoors ok so at least once a year. It’s looks very therapeutic lol. My weeds are getting out of hand and I’m trying to not spray until I’ve tried something to promote the grass growth first. Thank you

@@k6outdoors I like the idea of having the dethatcher attachment. I rented a gas powered dethatcher yesterday and pushed that 20" thing on 2 acres in crosshatch pattern. Then bagged it all with the lawn sweeper, picked up 17 loads (at 25sqft a load) that day, talk about a long 12 hour day. I may have destroyed my lawn sweeper because of the speed and work load ( Was running it late into the night and rushing so faster was better). What did that model run you with the attachment? The one I picked up yesterday was $420
@kaigaming96182 жыл бұрын
Can you show us how you store it?
@k6outdoors2 жыл бұрын
I actually just roll it into my garage and slip the hopper up onto itself, nothing special. I know some people swing the hitch in and collapse the hopper, but I do not. Thanks for stopping in.
@goofball1810 Жыл бұрын
Clip doesn't work for me. I have a agrifab sweeper and this thatcher and wheel hits bar to hitch which then makes it impossible to clip up. Other then that I like it
