¡Hola Juna!

I have a little over 200 designs on Etsy and I have definitely gotten better from when I started in January. I have made two organic sales one in January and one in February and that’s about it. My niche is Teachers and students but I think I need to work more on my research strategy. How long would you think it would take for my shop to start seeing more traffic? I am also running adds 😅
@DetourShirts6 ай бұрын
I would give it at least 3 months but if you have 200 hundred designs up already I would start to look at your designs. It's possible that there is a mismatch with the audience on Etsy. You may need to look at your designs and try something else, a new topic, a new style, or something that matches the audience on Etsy better.

@@DetourShirts Thank you for responding and validating what I am about to do, and that is pivot a little and start adding listings to a different niche that it’s a bit related to my current one. I have about 150 pieces and I'm starting to have trouble finding and editing designs. Maybe you could make a video on how you deal with such a large amount of works, I think such information would be useful for many subscribers of your channel. Thanks a lot again for your helpful videos! With gratitude, Valerii.

Hello! i just recently opened my own website and am selling tees and other items, I'm not on here to promote my business by any means, I have been following you and watching your videos now for a year, when i started my research and learned how to properly use Ai, and I;m not sure if It's just me being impatient, but I have gotten no hits, But I also have not pushed for any, this is just a side thing for me, I dont need this money to pay my bills, I am very blessed! but I did go to art school and have been in the art industry for over 40 years and I thought I knew what was going to sell! lol I dont want to be like everyone else! I am one who likes to stand out and do my own thing, SERIOUS LEADER! do not FOLLOW! lol so this is also hard for me to be able to see what everyone else is selling, cause honestly, I am secure enough within myself to not care! But if you have any advice for me or could just offer up a few suggestions...I'm open to anything! lol😁

If you are design for POD you kind of have to design for the masses... at least at first to get some sales and get noticed... If you can build a following you may be able to design for that following.

When you do the tall rectangle, do you keep it that large, once you take it into your selling platform. Sometimes, I think the design looks too big, once it is on the model, I don’t think it always looks great. If they were to tuck their shirt in, for example, part of the design would be tucked in.

I want to sell political streetwear, mugs, etc. Is there any tips or hope for me? Or do I have to give in and just do stuff like “girl trip 2024“ in wavy font to make a business? I feel like there is a huge audience, just look at how many people show up to big protests with custom printed shirts. And that is just for one political cause. I think maybe posting these to Etsy is not the way to get in touch with the target market. I don’t know.

My main concern is those companies on i.e facebook, that sells what would be packages of 500.000+ premade designs with a commercial license. Judging by the commentsection, there are A LOT of lazy people outthere who just buys these packages and puts them up on POD’s.
