Ha, ha - just have to say I finally have taken the time to do this tutorial. I love how at the end you say, "Really simple, probably simpler than you thought it would be." It looks really simple! I've just spent 2 hours making it and it still isn't right. Having trouble with the grunge layer. Exported it just to see how it looks and I just have a big white square! I've "saved as" multiple times, though, so I can go back and fix it - tomorrow as it's past my bed time now. It has been fun learning, though. :)

Hello, Juna... Which is better and easier to design adobe illustrator or affinity designer? and thank you for helping us.👍
@DetourShirts3 жыл бұрын
They are both very similar...Better is subjective...Illustrator has more things that you can do... Affinity Designer is a little lighter but still has enough tools to get the job done.

Great video! I love the distressed look. 😍 I recently bought Affinity and it's so complicated. 🤦🏻♀️ Clicking and dragging to select everything doesn't work for me. Do you have to hold down a key when you click and drag? Sometimes it's hard to see where you're clicking when you click on the toolbar since it's dark gray. Some screen video programs have a yellow circle around the cursor that makes it easy to see. And it's great when you also give us keyboard shortcuts, so more of that please. Thank you! Merry Christmas! 🎄☃️

@@DetourShirts Hi juna,i have the same situation, I tried ctrl-click on the texture pattern and copy over the eps file, but it only highlights partial, how do I know I did not miss bits and pieces of those random grunge dots. Some files from elsewhere I suspect they were done in a few batches to make the whole eps file, which means how do I change the color to them toghether. Can you also teach us to rasterize quickly, like a mini snippet?

Hello! I love your videos! Can you tell me how you copied your stars for each line and got them to be evenly placed on the flag with no big space or little space in between? Thank you!
@DetourShirts3 жыл бұрын
Easy.... to copy hold down option and then click on the star and drag... to space them evenly us the distribute feature at the top Affinity Designer... it will space objects evenly apart
@BrandyJo983 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I should have said I was using the Windows Affinity program not Mac. I figured out the alignment and spacing thing partially but now getting each row of stars to be the same width apart and making sure the stars are evenly placed in the exact place is not working out well for me haha. Something is always off and I know they aren’t perfectly aligned top to bottom and side to side. Anyway to help out with that? I’m sorry for not understanding. Also some times the red horizontal lines and green vertical lines appear when I want them to and times they are no where to be found. Ask in for help in that and making my flag starts evenly placed everywhere. Thank you so much! Brandy😊

Awesome tutorial, Juna did you see Shimmy Morris video about cutting removing backgrounds, affinity got a bit of a kick to the floor with it seemingly being complex, as Affinity doesn't have the wand tool I myself have found myself doing removals on photopea then I continue my work on Affinity. Do you have a solution or a better way of using Affinity to remove backgrounds, or is it as Shimmy states just a little complicated? | Much Love, Peace & Respect | Stay Safe :D

Removing backgrounds from photos? That would be in Affinity Photo... I'll have to test it out...I don't use very many photos in my designs.

It is tag spamming and I don't know why they are on page 1. My guess is that there are not enough designs that are selling to push them down off of page one. Another guess is that the design sold and so the sale is keeping them on page one not the tags.
