Don’t expect Yzerman to do a damn thing…ever lol. Not sure what Yzerman’s goal or desired identity is for this team. That being said, the core pieces look very solid right now, especially Seider.

I don’t think standing pat, other than trading some expiring deals at the deadline, is a bad thing. At the end of this year the contracts of Petry, Kane, Husso, Lyon, Fischer, and motte all come off the books. That’s a lot of roster spaces to play with and either bring up griffins guys who are ready or sign free agents. Unless we can add a piece to the core (which would potentially cost a ton mid season), why not wait? This team is not destined for a long playoff run should they even make it to playoffs to begin with.

I honestly don't think anything happens unless it's at the deadline or after the break. Also if Edvinsson is out long term it's definitely going to suck but they probably only bring up Lagesson go 11/7 perhaps? Short term solution. Who knows. It just means we get to Al Jo more playing time :)

Agree 👍.. who knows how long Buium will be if he can translate. Hopefully Wallinder will be ready by the end of 2025-26 season

Great late show tonight gentleman. Thank you! I pray big Ed is back in the lineup soon and not out long term. I would support a trade for Byram or one of their skilled forwards.

With Greenway going down. My instant thought was rasmussen and compher for dylan cozens. And the obvious mandatory 4th round pick swap.

It would have to be a lot more than that
@mattl26423 сағат бұрын
@scottritcey5166 I totally agree they'd want more than that. But if I'm Yzerman, there's zero chance I'm giving up kasper, danielson asp mbn or a future 1st in that deal. And I'm not convinced that Buffalo wants to punt this season for more prospects and picks.

Theres nothing we have that we’d part with (seider larkin raymond edvinsson) that the sabres would want for a cozens byram let’s be real 😂

Some of our top prospects potentially, but I don’t know that I’d want to do that for cozens

Buffalo trades Dylan Cozens and Bowen Byram to Detroit for Detroit's 2025 1st overall pick (top 5 protected), Andrew Copp, Max Plante, and Shia Buium. Detroit's future line-up est: 2029-2030 Kasper Larkin Raymond Mazur Cozens Buchelnikov Lombardi Danielson MBN Finnie N.D.Nilsson Kiiskinen Edvidsson Seider Byram ASP Wallinder Tuomisto Johansson Cossa Augustine

Clearly, RW should explore the opportunities that arise. There was no buzz about Kakko to my great disappointment 😪, the interpretation is that Rags clearly was not interested in any player in the RW organization as they should be. There is nothing in RW that Rags doesn't already have better, however, RW had cap space before S.Y. had a mental breakdown. Cozens, realistically I'm not against that idea, although it will be a package partly because RW doesn't have the cap to do a 1v1 deal. Danielson will not be included there (1v1) but maby Kasper + other things can be included. But why would Buffalo want to make themselves even younger with more young players and why would they trade down on paper here? RW does not lack average players or players with some upset if things pan out in their pipe to 150%.

Wouldn’t be throwing a 1st round pick for the next 2 years that’s not top 10 protected

So, nothing happened trade-wise. Yzerman “likes our team.” Infuriating inaction.

Way too much wrong to fix this roster via trade(or by any other means) this season. Even over the offseason there isn't enough bad contracts expiring to truly make this team good headed in to next season, they'll still be carrying a bunch of negative value dead weight contracts next year.
