Im so sick of hearing our D couldn't stop anything after that 1st drive in the 2nd half we let up 78 passing yards and rushed for 21. The reason they scored was our 2 turnovers Goffs int they only had to go 16 yards then Campbell going for on our 30 so they only had to go 30 yards. We held them to 7 points in the 1st without a turnover tell the WHOLE story bro

This is Detroit, this is our culture, we own this situation football. I'd like to see the stats of how many teams start doing the same thing, especially when they play the lions. Seems like teams that normally don't go for it on 4th down, all of a sudden, when they are playing the lions, they going for it on 4th down also. I personally call it, the Dan Campbell effect. What our offense is really great at is lining up our players were they don't belong - so then defenses are all trying to pick up who they're supposed to cover - because for example St. Brown lines up where our RB is and our RB will line up where St. Brown was and put a WR out in motion - causes mass confusion.

Whats surprising is bellichek had extreme confidence in his offense. He went for it on 4th down and short no matter where the ball was on the field. Whatever Teddy! You just dont like the way were winning.

I feel like giving the ball up on the 30 actually saved some energy for our defense. If we punted they drive 80 yards on them and they are that much more tired and possibly hurt.

Who really cares what an analyst at ESPN has to say. Perhaps it explains why he is talking about football on a crap network, while men like Dan Campbell are coaching football teams and winning football games. As a Michigander, and 40 yr+ Lions fan, I am loving the ride. The players are playing great ball and the coaching staff are making good calls. When your defense is beat to hell and back, your best bet is to keep it in the offense's hands. Especially when your offense is playing to the level that ours is.

I have a feeling it's going to take people a while to realize what Dan Campbell is really doing, and how smart he really is. The national media narrative is that he's emotionally unstable, a gut based gamblers, a player/coach who can't see the woods from the trees , ect... He's playing 3-D chess. He's trolling the league. Imagine a team trying to prepare for the lions....we put so much weird stuff on film, they will almost waste their time trying to figure it out. A team only gets so many practice days, and Dan Campbell has figured out how to get them to waste that time trying to figure out how to triple cover our right tackle. The national media isn't used to the Lions being #1. Shit, neither are we. 😆 This never happened before!

let's say you have 4 fourth downs on drives in fg territory. if you kick fg's there is a max of 12 points availble to you. you go for instead you have a max possible 28 point (32 if 2pt conv made). it's likely you go 2/4 and get 14, and good chance for 3/4 which gets you 21 points. Not rocket science (oh and you use more clock when successful conversions made)
