The men in her family had over half a century to do so and never came close to what she has done. She smoothed things out with Calvin, she got Barry back into the fold, and bringing in Chris Spielman to find her coach and GM is a criminally underrated move. She deserves a lot more credit than people give her.

I still love how much people ragged on the Gibbs pick. I was stoked. As a massive CFB fan I knew both Gibbs and Laporta were amazing picks. People have nfc how good LaPorta was on an absolutely horrific offense. I remember Iowa playing Michigan and Michigan could not stop this guy. They ended up doubling up on him because Iowa couldn't do anything otherwise. Gibbs is a one in a lifetime talent. If you watched him at Bama, every time he touched the ball it looked like he was gonna house it. One of the most exciting players I've ever seen and he keeps getting better.

Three most crucial moments of the Lions rebuild were given to them by the people in charge; - Holmes’ command of the 2021 draft - Campbell’s lead of the Lions first playoff win in 30 years - Shiela Ford Hamp publicly backing Campbell and Holmes in 2022 press conference despite a 4-19 start to the regime (they’re 30-9 since.) First off, great video! Subbed! It’s honestly crazy how things have turned around so quickly for the lions! The stars truly have aligned for them. They got a new owner who cared but is also very capable and loves this team, a head coach that makes you wanna jump through a wall for him and who has grit and drive, and this damn genius of a GM who sees gems where others miss it! They’ve got a team brimming with talent, excellent coaching, a keen eyed front office, and dedicated ownership. Who the fuck could’ve guessed that the DETROIT LIONS would make such a turnaround and become the team everyone talks about. Most teams have had good times, Superbowl wins or at least appearances, etc…but Detroit is one of those few that hasn’t. It’s a real Cinderella story, true American grit and determination, a fantasy story that literally sounds like it was written by a depressed lions fan as some sort of wish list fantasy.
