Everyone knows the Lions go for it on 4th down a lot. Why? Not because Dan Campbell is a wild-ass gambler, but because Detroit's OLine gives them an extra down compared to most teams in the league. That line consistently creates positive yardage, keeps Goff clean, makes defenses sell out on the play action, and executes almost flawlessly in the resulting 4th-and-short situations. That puts tremendous pressure on other teams, and it all starts with the OLine.

I've been one of the only fans screaming this on every lions draft related video for the same reasons you guys expressed. O-line should be our top priority this draft. Not even saying we have to use our 1st pick. I think this draft has 4-5 guys at every Oline position who are gritty, smart, Campbell guys that can block downfield and protect Goff. Here's my list of guys we can reasonably trade up and get or could may fall to us: (outside line) Fautauna, Fuagga, Barton, Morgan and Amegadija. (Inside line) BeeBee, Majogony, Cohen (Centers) Jackson Power, Frazier, Nourizad, Limmer.

Yep. I'm never mad at drafting a big strong body for the O-Line early. Also the thing about defensive backs is they can take a year or two to catch on if they ever do at all.

I like these picks. I have watched ver6 little College football the past several years so I don’t have a lot of knowledge of the players but based on your rationale these seem like good picks.

With the O-Line depth in this draft we could draft even a couple of them in the mid to later rounds. WR is another position that has plenty of depth in this draft. I think it comes down to an EDGE or CB with the first couple of picks. Regardless what happens, I trust in Holmes. Whether he stays put, trades up for an elite player or trades down to gain more of that draft capital (and we know Holmes likes to move around in the draft) - let Holmes cook and do his thing. GO LIONS

You dont draft a back up in rd 1. If nobody is available then you move up in the draft and get your guy. You can get your lineman later, cmon, draft a couple if you want IMO, Detroit's needs 1 more bonafide stud on defense...move up
