Absolutely loved this video. Thank you so much for saying nice things about Detroit. For many years and still today Detroit has had such a bad reputation. I've lived downtown now for 11 years. I absolutely love it. I never thought I'd be living here after growing up just 20 minutes outside of the city. There are so many great things taking place here. It's not just I'm downtown either. Our elected officials are taking care of the neighborhoods as well and giving the people in those areas of the city hope again. Murder rate and crime rate are down over 25%. There have been roughly 30,000 abandoned homes torn down. New skyscrapers are being built. Old skyscrapers are being renovated. If you have never been here then you shouldn't judge our city based upon the past or what others might think. I encourage you to come visit and see for yourself.

Thank you for the very kind words and for your sentiments about your great city. It's amazing how revitalized the downtown core is. There is so much to do here and we definitely need to return for a longer stay so that we can take in so much more. Thanks for watching.

Sweetwater Tavern is my fav! At the 19:40 mark, The Entrance to the GM Headquarters. I was an extra on the Film Real Steel with Hugh Jackman and we filmed a scene in that very spot. You'll see some cool Futuristic Cadillacs, as the Cadillac that pulls up with Hugh son inside.

Hey Ken, thanks for the comments. We only had a beer and appy there. I'd love to return to Sweetwater. Seemed like a cool spot. Will definitely check out the Hugh Jackman movie.

What a great preview of my city of Detroit!!! I loved that you raved about the city. The food and drink scene is incredible, live music all over town with great venues and it's an amazing sports town. It looks like you were there a few days before the NFL Draft which crushed all previous attendance records and Detroit really shined. There are so many other things to see and do....Motown Museum, Eastern Market, Midtown, Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village, (I could go on 😊😊). I hope you'll be back and spend more time to see more of what Detroit has to offer.

Hey Now! Thanks for the very kind words. It's very easy to rave about your fine city. There is so much to celebrate about downtown motown as you've so elequently stated in your comments. Also thanks for your suggestions on other attractions to take in. We will definitely be returning to take it all in. I'd like to return in the Summer when the weather is better and likely even more vibrancy in the downtown core. Thanks for watching!

Yeah sure...A drunk woman causes a wreck on I-75 causing her 4 year old child unrestrained in the vehicle to die because of it. Murder city no more? You people are delusional and lacadasical. Get f'kin real.

Hey Rob, Thank you for the kind words. I was very happy with the end result of this video with a very short sample size of 2 days. We'll definitely be returning to focus on the many great activities we weren't able to take in in 2 days. Thanks for watching!

As a person who lived and worked in Detroit since the 90s I feel safer in Detroit than then the Wayne County suburbs area. Westland Garden City Inkster are all places I've seen in decline while Detroit is on the rise

The Golden Fleece IS the bomb. OPA!! It's the only true Greek restaurant in Greektown...to me. I sure miss Hellas and The Parthenon. Greektown hasn't been the same... 😢

American Coney was actually the first one there, Lafayette opened when the other brother left American. Dave Portnoy did a great YT video on the rivalry a few years ago.

Thanks for the Portnoy info. I watched it. Pretty funny. What's your favorite?

Hiroki San is one of the hottest restaurants in the city right now, not exactly surprised you couldn't get in. Good thing we have a plethora of other amazing places to eat in the city!

Yep, tried to make reservations as well but the only time available was a Tuesday. Oh well! It gives us a reason to come back.

Please do, it's really a great City. Evey major city has its crime issues, but Detroit has come a LONG way in the last decade. The restaurant & bar scene is seriously world class. Not to mention best riverfront in the country 2 years running. ✌🏼
