You really gotta be passionate to cover the Pistons to such a degree at this time within the franchise. Hopefully these dudes can actually do well, so you can blow up!🫡

I feel like Trajan really sold the vets on the idea of a sort of "Heat Culture" template. That seems to be the future that he wants. He wants these guys to become the UD to their Bam. "I'll pay you for the next 5 years, but be that dude in practice even when you're not getting minutes and you're runnin like Kenny." That seems to be the kind of mindset these vets are coming in with. Super smart of him to go after free agents that already had ties to the city. Family's already here, so no reason to move again. Stay here collecting a check as long as they can, and be a compliment to the culture. The philosophy that he is implementing into the New Pistons Culture is going to be amazing I think. Grit and grind, win or lose, play the right way. I love what I'm hearing. Great video as always. Thanks dude!

None of that is relevant in the slightest because they still don't have nearly enough talent.

*Every* competitive sport is about W's and L's, so I don't buy that line at all. Maybe it's coach-speak to relieve pressure from the guys, but I'm sure they'll be trying to win every game they can, as they should.

Counterpoint: the new GM is deliberately tanking.

I believe the pistons lack attitude an grit is what I took away from media day,came off as if they were a little uncertain about there future,all our sports teams are playing with this energy.

I think people are overly hyped on our record this year if we get to 25 ill be happy man it'd going to be a year over year progression and we gotta stop being dillusional as fans.

I don’t know if I’m a homer being a fan from Texas, but I see us getting 35+ lol 😅
@calebcharles9074Ай бұрын
@@rodj1068I want to believe it but that was my mindset last year but I'll admit JI has that insane obsessive drive to win I can see it and cade is going to get the spacing that will lead to a 26 PPG avg or more I want you to be right so bad 😭
@scottwickett1273Ай бұрын
@@rodj1068 That's just nuts. 22 wins or thereabouts, 13th in the east, ahead of only the really real tankers (Nets and Wiz)

Any other coach last year would've gotten them to 25+ wins, it's odd to me that so many people don't see that. With that being said, making record predictions is senseless in my opinion. It's impossible to know what that might look like right now. At least wait until 20+ games in, even then anything can happen over the course of the season.

The wins and losses comment is being blown out of context. They are not setting expectations for wins/losses. Wins come after the foundation, structure, and identify have been set, not before. He also talks about playing at a high compete level, JB has echoed that as well as playing team basketball. It was blatantly obvious last year that the team lacked chemistry, togetherness and cohesiveness. We don't want a repeat of that do we? Watch things change after an identity has been established! It's basketball, not rocket science.

25-30 wins is a good benchmark. This is a foundation year for the young bucks. Have enough vets on the team now that they can lead as far as preparation and mindsets. Next year is the year I’m looking for a leap.
