I went to the game with my Dad the next night. Jerry Hairston hit a walk-off two-out pinch-hit two run HR. We were sitting in the RF bleachers near where the ball landed.
@aarondersnah8633 жыл бұрын
As a Tigers fan, I hated Harriston for that pinch hit HR and his pinch hit single in a game the following year. That pinch hit single was with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th and it broke up Milt Wilcox's bid for a perfect game. Harriston also came to the plate as a pinch hitter, but was retired, in the 1984 Jack Morris no hitter.

@@aarondersnah863 I remember that year (1982) the Sox had traded Chet Lemon to the Tigers for one year of Steve Kemp, who was a good hitter. I wasn't the biggest Lemon fan, but he was pretty good.

Tigers won that trade. Lemon was terrific in center. Kemp was over the hill and in NY by 83

@@caveman3096 Kemp had a good year for the Sox in 1982, and Ron Kittle was ROY in LF the following year, and Rudy Law stole 77 bases in CF. Lemon was a good ball player, but DET had to re-sign him in '82, and the trade was not a total disaster.

This was Don Drysdale’s and Ken Harrelson’s first year as broadcasters with the White Sox. Besides being part of ABC’s Monday Night Baseball coverage, Drysdale had been calling games for the California Angels. Harrelson had been part of the Boston Red Sox television team.

70s I have a post production system called Macrovision (Macrosystem) record the actual VHS tape or DVD then I frame rate it Followed by enhancing picture image or any color corrections Recording all audio on a track later making any corrections to the audio like if audio is coming out on one speaker (L or R) can correct in stereo then lay down the audio tracks in sync and a final run to burn to a blu ray (all through the Macrovision Bogart system post production on each game)
