We used to go to Windsor all the time. You could drink in Windsor at 18 but you had to be 21 in Detroit. I can’t imagine being in Detroit and not going to the DIA and the main library. I practically lived in those two as a kid.

I really enjoyed your video. I'm glad it was recommended. Marvin's looked very interesting, along with Comerica Park. I hope to visit soon.

The reason for the Mickey Mouse statue is because it’s from 2010 when the Anaheim Angels hosted the all star game MLB did a statue on parade and put Mickey Mouse statues from all 30 different teams around the city. It’s Mickey Mouse because of Disney’s connection of owning that team and Disneyland. You may have also noticed the tigers Statue of Liberty which was when it was in NYC in 2008 for the Yankees hosting the all star game and there was 43 total statues all around the city. Many of the mlb teams ended up getting back the statues but some when to other businesses and private collectors. I wonder if the tigers got the Apple statue from the 2013 all star game hosted by the Mets in NYC

Glad you got to enjoy Detroit. I lived in the area for about 5 years. You hit on some stuff that i never went to. Glad you hit the staples like the Zoo and Founders, and the off the beaten path places like the DSC, Marvins and the John R King Book store. There is one coaster credit up in Macomb County but I dont know if it was worth going up there just for that.

Sounds like you guys were here back during the Belle Isle Grand Prix. The island has plenty of great amenities like a beach, boating facilities, Golf Course, Hiking trails, the oldest aquarium in the country, a beautiful conservatory and Dossins Great Lakes Museum which is always worth a trip. The Detroit Institute of Arts is no longer requiring reservations tho I believe masks are still needed. They have a special exhibition going on right now which features cars from the 50's to the 90's and the Offerendas exhibit which features Day of the Dead altars. The Detroit Historical Museum (literally right across the street) has a popular exhibit called the Streets of Detroit which is a recreation of Detroit from the 1890's, 1870's and 1830's. Lafayette Coney island finally got a card swiper back in July so they finally take credit cards. As for what was up with Hart Plaza, it was just closed for repairs.
