My cousin lived in Minneapolis for a few years and I got to visit him in 2013. Need to note this is the most bicycle friendly city I had ever been to. Entire bike paths complete with traffic lights, separate from roadways. And the paths go around the lakes. So beautiful. Also shout out to Britt's Pub downtown!

The murder of George Floyd in May 2020 revealed serious problems with law enforcement. In June, the Justice Department published a report about the Minneapolis’s police department, stating that it remains plagued by unlawful conduct, discrimination, and mismanagement. According to a city police spokesperson, the department has undergone a number of reforms over the past few years. In addition, a new police chief was hired last year to change the culture and narrative around policing and public safety

I've lived in Minneapolis all my life. Been to everything you did a few times. You missed First Avenue that was made famous by Prince. Downtown Minneapolis is a ghost town after the Pandemic. A lot of companies went to remote or a hybrid work place and never looked back. I love all of our State Parks, hiking trails and lakes. The winters are actually mild and only a week or two where going outside physically hurts but you can always go farther North for more cold. I'd recommend Duluth and the North Shore. You will see a lot of Scandinavian influence all over Minnesota but a lot more as you go North. You will hear where the Movie Fargo got the accent from when you go to the North Shore. We also have a large Hmong population and the food is outstanding. Thank you for all you do! The B-Roll filming and editing was some of the best tourist videos I've seen.

Terrible city for diversity. Snow bunnies everywhere that are not curvy and are passive aggressive. Great example of how organized and clean white cities are. Austin will surpass it in about 15 years as a more diverse, warmer, larger version. The Vikings colors are terrible and women drive craxy asf during winter..

It was so quiet downtown because so many people work from home now. Downtown is kind of empty compared to what it once was. It picks up on weekends when people are going to the theater or some of the clubs. There's a lot of debate in Minneapolis right now as to what to do about it.

You'd be welcome in any establishment with a haircut like that Eric. Some of my ancestors led by master-mason Alfred Jones commuted to Mn/St Paul from North Wales at the turn of the 19th/20th century because of the demand for experienced masons. His two sons stayed there, but Alfred's wife missed home so he returned and died in Halkyn, Flintshire. He'd previously helped build Halkyn Church, along with the "marble church" in St Asaph and St George's Hall in Liverpool.

That glass fish at the Weisman used to be in the Sculpture Garden! I had no idea the Weisman had it now. I'm also very amused that the apartment hallway art piece is still there. I used to go and see that when I went to school at the U back in the mid 90s! The architect of the museum is Frank Gehry, who also did the Guggeneheim in Spain and the Walt Disney Concert Hall. His style is very famous and it's a really big deal to have one of his buildings here. If you see the Weisman at sunset, the colors reflect off the building. It's very cool.

But if you ever get the chance again you need to go up to Duluth and see Canal Park, the Ariel Lift Bridge, Glensheen Mansion, Enger Tower and other interesting sites. Then go over to Lake Itasca to see the headwaters of the Mississippi River, Go up to International Falls (Canadian boarder) and back thru the Boundary Waters and Voyagers National Park and then down the North Shore of Lake Superior back to Duluth. IMO the best parts of MN :) I also hope you took the River Road (HWY 14/61) back to St Louis..again beautiful....but since I live there I'm a bit biased lol...Have wonderful travels wherever you go and Ill be along for the ride!

This Minnesota gal, currently living in Missouri, loves that you went to Minneapolis. I am originally from Minnesota, and I have lots of family there. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to spend much time in the twin cities as an adult. I need to rectify that. I do go home to the Mille Lacs lake area when I can. When you get back up to Minnesota, I would recommend a trip up the north shore of Lake Superior. The boundary waters areas are fantastic as well. I am sharing your video with my Minnesota family. I'm sure they will be familiar with the places you went. Looking forward to your next video.

So weird, I wrote a long comment with recommendations for your next visit (Mankato & Redwood falls) also telling you about our upcoming maiden voyage to MO in our RV that we’ve been working on… I came back to make an edit & it disappeared. 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️ Anyway I was coming back to add you did a great job of showcasing Minneapolis & I think I’m going to have to take my husband to check out the Jucy Lucy. I hope to see you on the road. ✌️

Bummer you missed the Foshay! I also love to stop and grab a drink at the bar just below the observation when i happen to be around there. Cool decor and great views at night. Maybe come back late summer, hit the state fair -MUST- and then go up to a VRBO on a lake next time -ALSO A MUST. (Besides family/friends, the lakes are what keep me in this state despite the cold winters 🥶.) Bonus, you could also catch a Vikings preseason game in the new stadium.

I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for...

I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

I got on my bike in Minneapolis when I was 4 years old and went on a little adventure...cops brought me home after a nice grandma type lady offered me milk and cookies and called the police. My mom was mad/happy at the same time when they brought me home! I still live within a few miles of Minneapolis and have lived in and around the city at different times in my life. Glad you were able to at least get a little taste...and hope you get to explore the area more on another trip.

Grew up in Duluth, lived in Mpls since 1981, have fun in the skyways. Wife and I used to stand on the Stone Arch Bridge to watch the July 4th fireworks. Thanks for stopping and visit again. The Twin Cities also have very large Vietnamese and Hmong populations. My favorite restaurant since 1985 is called Quie Viet on Johnson St. in Northeast Mpls. Cheers & safe travels.
