I agree with taking contracts from teams avoiding the tax, to get draft picks. OKC did this well.

Listen to Slam, we don't need a ticket to the middle Follow the Oklahoma City plan and acquire interesting young players to develop, let's give the players on this team more time with hopefully better coaching. This draft has great role players that could compliment Cade and help the team. Guy like Fillipowski, Sheppard, Clingan among others. A trade down could be great in this draft with so much dept.

I now find myself on Slam Threw's side of this offseason. We need to focus on getting assets and figuring out what this team is going to look like. Now that doesn't mean I want to bring everyone back, but definitely trade Ivey or Duren for another young guy or just draft capital like Deni Avdija or Keldon Johnson. Identify guys like Quinten Grimes, Ausar, and Sasser as guys who have roles to play with Cade in the future and go from their. Trade everyone else who doesn't fit that mold.

Disagree on being bad again next year for the sake of a draft pick. This year’s lottery shows what can happen. Being the worst team in the league gives you a 52% chance of a top 4 pick. The 5th worst team still has a 42% chance of landing a top 4 pick. This team moving from worst to 5th worst would be a nice improvement if we’re being honest. A 10% difference in odds isn’t worth the suffering from the fan base to stay at the bottom. Also he’s literally suggesting what Troy was doing! Pick up guys who don’t have the best reputation, like Grimes…? Who picked up Grimes?! Troy! Magley, Jackson, Wiseman… we can’t keep doing this. Put good players like Hartenstein around Cade. Waiting on Duren is what got Weaver fired.

Pistons luck sucks...I wouldn't depend on next year's draft.. they have tried for the past what 5 years.. you gotta start adding winning veterans. If you just sit and wait on players and continue losing, you're going to lose the fans completely. You already had ppl screaming " Sell the team".
