Spielman is my football hero too, for how he played and who he is as a man of high character

Jeff, great discussion. I know a lot of Lions fans really weren’t on board with the Lions emphasis on character in the draft or free agency. And frankly a lot of them still don’t. They are still pining for Jalen Carter, and don’t get that he would not work here. I love this team and the way they play. I just have to pinch myself that this is all real. Cheers.

I was a Michigan State fan when Chris Spielman was at OSU. I feared him playing against the Spartans. I've seen a number of college players get carted off the field for being a guy wearing the wrong jersey. The day the Lions drafted him was one of the best days of my life. He is still my favorite linebacker of all-time. I don't care about what anybody else has to say about. He is all about how a man honors and executes his responsibilities. When you hear the phrase "Man's man", he's one of the men I think about.

I’m excited for David Long Jr. to be able to thrive in Silver and Blue -big believer in Shep and his ability to get the most out of his linebackers. While it hurts that Barnes is now out for the year, I’m hopeful a backfield of Long, Campbell and Rodrigo can hold down opposing offenses until Anzalone comes back.

Dan and Brad see what a player can be, not what they are........their super power

That’s why they value character so much.

My knee buckled walking down the steps at work today. Luckily, I didn't take a tumble. Knees are a pain in the ass. I feel ya on that point, Rizz. Thankfully, I don't have gout.

The Lions coaching staff takes the players that Brad drafts and makes NFL players out of them. They are patient and as long as a player works hard and takes coaching the Lions will give them time. Many teams can draft good players, very few can development them the way the Lions do.

Last year when Jonah Jackson was hurt again, and reporters were asking "why isn't he playing, when will he be back?"...Dan was not happy and he told the reporters "you need to ask him about that"...well, I got those same vibes off of Campbell when he talked about Iffy this time. Dan ain't happy. I think he expects more toughness. Davis goes out there and inspires with his injury...Iffy...ya just get the feeling he isn't all that excited to get back at it...

What about on select plays & packages, moving Brian Branch to Alex Anzalone’s spot & have Brandon Joseph fill for BB 😉🦁🏈🙂

It's impossible to have this good of a defense with this many injuries! WOW! I guess that means the other players are Pro bowl & All pro & backups are balling their ASS off! I freaking love our secondary. I knew if we could continue stopping the run & improve our coverage, that we would be dangerous! Very dangerous!

I think MCDC, My Dad Brad, and don't miss this one, I truly believe #54 Chris Spielman has had a lot to do with our success.

17:50 or Teryl Austin with having Ziggy Ansah out in the flat on the last Hail Mary of the game defending against a possible lateral instead of rushing the QB

Seven straight drives for a TD! Just freaking crazy. Not many college teams can do that. But yeah, the Jags are just poorly coached. Fun fact; the last three weeks the Jags lost to the Packers, Eagles, and Vikings by less than six points in each game. What the hell does that tell you?
