Ultimately I feel bad for any fan that has to deal with that crap but, as a sports fan who likes to embellish rivalries, it’s pretty (red and) gold. But I’m a niner fan who has his own heartbreak so there’s no taking any of this super seriously.

The part that people are struggling with is Detroit now has an elite defense too.... even after losing Hutchinson because they're incredible down the middle with McNeil/Jack Campbell/Branch/Joseph who are all top 5 at their position, easy, so they can now put it in cruise control and still win. I judge Detroit better what they do when they know everyone is watching not by what they do at 1pm vs a team with a losing record.

Playing Pittsburgh and Philly back to back has to be one of the most physical stretch of games for any team to deal with. Don't think Washington is as good as they looked in the beginning of the year, but I expect them to bounce back a bit after the bye.

I’m a member of the 49er Faithful. I couldn’t agree more with Brockman, we are TIRED of Kyle! He will never change and never win the Super Bowl. At least not with SF. I’d rather go into the unknown with a new regime than to keep “getting close”. The standard here in the Bay Area is RINGS. Not “wins and playoff appearances”. Also, I’m 54 and have seen all the Super Bowl WINS. They didn’t used to lose them, they COACHED & PLAYED their way to victories!

I have my issues with Shanahan but you can't just ignore the injuries completely. There comes a point where your squad is too hurt to reasonably be expected to compete with the better teams. All things considered he's entitled to stay at least for next year.

Realistically I would actually take Darnold over Hurts, close but I give Danold the nod. As good as A Jones has been for Min, Barkley has been lights out......phi way easier schedule than anybody in NFC, not even close vs Min schedule Both teams winning the gms they need to win vs lesser teams. Key for me is Phi vs Bal & Pitts next 3 weeks- solid team or pretenders Flip side Min at home 3gms not easy at all but should be favorable- need to pile on the wins
