The album cover for Rust in Peace ties in with the second song off the album, 'Hangar 18'. Once you listen to 'Hanger 18', you will get the meaning of the artwork. The album name, Rust in Peace, is the name of the last song on the album, 'Rust in Peace... Polaris'. Both of these songs are great. There is not a bad song on this album. 'Dawn Patrol' is a bass and drums only song with Mustaine speaking the lyrics. It is different than the other songs on this album. You could basically listen to one song a week off this album for seven weeks and be amazed every time.

I don't know if this is true or not but I read that Dave Mustaine saw the words on a bumper sticker, something about Rust in peace. Nuclear arms.

Dave doesn't talk like that he's great with the Way he comes at you with his vocals. Hook in mouth off the so far so good so what album.

7:08 no finger tapping, Marty actually stretched his fingers from 12th to the 17th fret ( which is how most covers of this song are played too, I remember seeing one cover using tapping in that section and the comments were hounding the KZbinr for it, even though it sounded super clean)

Lots more great stuff, man... you seem to dig it. Megadeth is a little more raw and garage band'y than Metallica, I think. More technical. Five Magics Good Morning / Black Friday Set the World Afire The Conjuring Hook in Mouth Originals are going to be better than remasters. Cheers

I mean, everything sounds like a garage band compared to the production that goes into a Metallica albums since 1991. Their production is so super polished that it doesn't nearly come across as heavy as it should be. There is a great channel called 'Stateofmercury' that do videos like "what if Hardwired to Self Destruct was on Ride the lightning." He basically applies the production and style of one song and puts it on another album. It's very interesting. But, I wouldn't describe anything Megadeth did after 1990 as garage bandy. Especially once they gained commercial success with Countdown to Extinction. Everything is polished with quality production. Whereas both bands have a raw unpolished garage band sound in the first few records. If you mean Megadeth is more metal or thrash sounding, then I agree. It's definently faster, more progressive and filled to the brim with solos.
@kronok55912 жыл бұрын
@@itsalwayssomething7490 Right on. Overall, I still think Megadeth cares less about appealing to the masses compared to Metallica. I guess that's what I mean by being garage bandy. Both bands fell into the masses trap in the early 1990's. You could argue Megadeth has been a one-man band over the years, because of Dave. But all those guitarists/drummers have done pretty good in their own right. Nothing was a disaster. They both would never be able to beat youth and ingenuity they had in their first few albums. It gets lost with age, fame and money. Understandable. i'll check out Stateofmercury, cheers.
