One of the few things I like about mankind divided is that a lot of the game play mechanics from the original Deus ex that were not in human revolution were added back in also it's art style is closer to the original as well but it's still way to advanced though. Edit: also one of the many things that the original Deus ex did better than the prequels is when you wanted to hide a body Denton would put the body over his shoulder

Dishonored grab body is best grab body, for me. Another thing that bothered me with MD is Icarus Dash. Specifically its upgraded charged version. That augment is so inconsistent in how it tells information and how it handles. Half the time I don't know where I'll end up after the dash. If the icon tells me Adam will climb up a ledge after the dash, half the time Adam just falls. Half the time the dash's distance is reduced and I end up falling and getting saved by Icarus Landing. Meanwhile Dishonored practically perfected first person vision based instant teleportation with Blink back in 2012 4 years before DE: MD.

33:00 As a drummer, you pretty much hit the nail on the head. We love to use dynamics (soft/medium/loud/anything in between) to create a certain feeling with music. We can also use accents to add flavor. The drum pattern you sung out is a pattern with accents. Ex: DUN dun dun DUN dun dun No accents: dun dun dun dun dun dun It's crazy how making one note slightly louder (or quieter) can add tons of tension or feel to a track.

When it comes to the Praxis points, the way they explained it, lorewise, is that after you're reset to zero - and discovering that you have all these new augs inside you, Adam's body needs to get used to the augments again. So by doing quests and exploring, Adam's body gets more and more "attuned" to the augs, which then allows him to activate more of his abilities. With the black market augs as the exception, for which you need to have the *calibrator* .

18:10 Yeah, to perform takedowns, energy is needed. But if you play on PC, with mods, you remove the energy cost for theses moves. That said, in the game there are a lots of energy cells and a shortcut to use them, so using takedowns it isn't really a problem.

the level design wasn't half baked at all. I mean there's literally cleaning marks on the tables and stuff. There's so many places to explore and every computer you can hack has something you can read that will give you some insane stuff. Like there was some that made me cry and they weren't related to quests. Some are seriously heart wrenching. You can even FIND things referenced in many of the emails and stuff or even just see evidence of situations and then see emails later on and be like "oh my god I saw x situation". It's actually pretty good. Just a rando body somewhere or a pad you found in a lockbox. They are all related to something. There was an apartment I broke into after jumping on awnings and it wasn't a quest but there was a timed trap with gas (no quest whatsoever or ANYTHING related to it) and it was JUST for exploring. What other game does that? Got rewarded with some nice things to break down or sell. Nothing like neuropozine or anything but it wasn't a waste of time either since I think there were a few credit chips and some other stuff left around. It wasn't a common place either since I only saw ONE reddit thread mentioning this apartment trap. It wasn't a common place people happened upon.

The argument against Augs being unrealistic, one thing to keep in mind: They're trendy. Most of Human Revolution played with people getting them because they were status symbols. Hong Kong was a good example where prostitutes were being forced to get augs in order to make more money. It was a novelty, and saying "no one would willingly cut off their arms" I think is understating human desires to want to fit in and seem hip or cool or whathaveyou. We already see some crazy shit happening in today's world thanks to similar social pressures. Also most of the augs in Human Revolution were used by the rich or famous. The others that had them were predominantly thugs who worked for companies that built the augs to begin with. Otherwise the most likely candidate for augs would be people that could use them in sales (there was a social aug in the first game that was trying to sell you something, can't remember what) or could use them to work around physical disabilities which likely came out as the cheaper option for insurance companies (eg, Jensen). In Mankind Divided the Incident happened and the reason why most Augs are poor is because no one trusts them any longer. Augments made sense when they could easily pay for them, but as soon as some Augs went crazy and started killing people by the hundreds, well augments no longer seemed to be a desirable asset in business. Or in society. It's one of the most realistic parts of the whole game.

if you don't treat MK-D like a "Get from point A to B" game it is a lot deeper than you'd give it credit for. The level designs are amazing and you can find way more story in all the hackable computers than you'd imagine. There's some side stories that aren't even really quests that you can see part 1, 2 and 3's of or more that take place just through the stuff you read and find evidence of and can put together in your head from the things you find around and names mentioned etc. This game isn't really for the run and gun guy because they will finish the game in idk like 6 hours.

This was my favorite game in the series. I really liked how you could bypass locked doors (lockpicking and hacking?) with typhoon, and you could craft multi-tools on demand, so there was really no need for any augmentations to hacking or lockpicking which allowed you to focus on more tactical augs. What I remember enjoying most was taking out entire squads of enemies (5 or more) by using stealth/invisibility with silent running, rushing right into the center of their group then popping off typhoon. The only gun I used the entire game was the pistol and I played on the hardest setting. As for the cutscenes, I loved them because I knew it was an Iframe and if I got to position for the takedown or typhoon it couldn't be stopped. They really improved on HR with this title in my opinion, Adam was much more versatile and had more character development. I wish they would make a part 3......

I never took the persuasion mod because I loved having to find intel on people. I might try to dig up something on who they work for/with. Read E-mails that give details about how they talk to/treat people they work with, friends. The mod is entirely unessisary at least as far as I was able to tell. There wasn't a single person that I wasn't able to find enough information about just by exploring and being thorough; that I couldn't make solid choices as to what tone to take in conversations or what to say. I know most people don't care to do all that extra work, but for someone like me, let me just say I am glad it is only an optional augment. I enjoy the feeling of talking my way out of something with my own knowledge. Also super glad to see another video from you.

I finally got into this game when I wanted to several times but It never stuck to me. Then when I heard the TF29 song in the HQ I just felt this vibe and then the gameplay loop also connected for me, using the stun gun and just pew pewing my way through. I was amazed how good the writing was and the level design and Prague itself. I know czech so it was really fun to listen in to conversations. It's so sad that they didn't get another chance at a Deus ex, when I think this game in many ways is better at being cyberpunk than cyberpunk. There are so many hilarious details if you pay attention as well, like I broke in Prague into a storage facility that belonged to a store, and when I next time spoke to the store owner he hinted he had seen me on the security footage, and I was shocked and thought it was amazing. I have played a shitton of games as well through my life, but mankind divided was a game where I actively didn't rush the main story and went through the side missions as well. Give it a try folks, when you get into Deus Ex finally after fiddeling with the controls and all, it's so worth it.

Last video I watched was on 7th of June, which means that watching this video now that means the surgery was successful so I'm happy for you. I'm always looking forward for every upload, because not many channels out there do lenghty videos on RPG's (which is my favorite genre). So I hope you stick around for a long time, because I need my fix. :P

You have a real knack for convincing me with your videos to give a games I gave up on early another shot and most of the time I eventually really start to enjoy them. Based on that point alone I vote for ATOM RPG. I wanted to love that game as it reminded me a lot of the origional fallout games but something was really "off" about it. I also can appreciate your insurance company rant, as someone with a incurable disease who gets regular rides in the disco truck, because my insurance company decided they no longer cover ambulances! I never wanted my life to be boring but I didnt expect the excitement to come from crippling medical debt.

Thank fuck I saw this in my subs list today. Was worried that you bit the bullet with how things left off with the last video. Really relieved to see you're still with us.

Since you asked: When I’m playing drums (including double bass stuff) I don’t notice my heart rate so much, but I do tend to breathe in time with the music. Depending on the tempo I’ll inhale/exhale every 2, 4 or 8 beats. Basically my breathing stays at a normal speed relative to the tempo

There's a fantastic documentary called: The heart is a drum machine, I think it's on netflix. I watched it years ago. Really good stuff. They had this pair of pianists who we're deaf and kept rhythm through feeling the bass.

You perfectly echoed and worded everything I couldn't put together in my head kindly years ago. It feels so bloody good to hear another have the exact sentiments I had about this confusing game cause when I was debating with my friend about this when it first came out, he didn't understand a single thing I said. Also, good met man. Hope you continue to make it through well. Youre a great person, inspiration, and silence companion. Keep making your brilliant work if you can.
