Deps machine shop stories are giving me flashbacks to my final years working for BIG SUGAR WATER, where a multi-BILLION dollar company either could or would not hire fleet mechanics because they were too cheap. Fun fact, they managed to get the delivery drivers pay rate changed from commission to hourly in the most recent contract negotiations, and never took into account that they scheduled fifty hour weekly routes because the drivers had been working like dogs or cutting all the corners to get out in forty for decades. The horrifically bad management that had cycled into that facility were panicking like crazy because they'd burned through over six months of payroll in under a quarter because they didn't expect Teamsters to act like Teamsters.

Yeah...I spent too many years in a warehouse working for Big Sugar Water, the Orange Pop was one of only two things I witnessed eat through the aluminum cans, and the only one before the expiration date. The other thing was a limited edition sodapop that was "hot" and we kept on hand instead of normal disposal because it qualified as literal toxic waste and we couldn't get the sign off from the home office to dispose of it.

Another interesting thing about the m202 flash is that it was technically "replaced" in the 90s because the sealing for the incendiary fuel in the rockets would go bad all the time and leak the fluid all over where it's stored. A quartermaster I knew said they had to store them away from the rest of the munitions and that any rockets left in stock were probably empty which is why we never really use them, unless you are trying to play the worlds hottest game of Russian roulette.

A minor correction on what happened to that poor poor man with the sword in traveler. They did not vent him, they did far worse. I kept him chained up by the whale for eventual interrogation for months before literally throwing him at a mysterious techno-organic slime and simply watching as it pulled him slowly into a vent. Simply venting him would have been far kinder.

Hey, I gotta ask I was waiting on twitch for you guys to broadcast last night, but nothing came up and then several hours later I was given the option to watch a previous broadcast was that a Patreon broadcast?

WBPL doesn't do Patreon broadcasts, they are opposed to locking content behind paywalls. But, sometimes Tex and Dep have to change up their schedule due to life reasons. I don't know them personally, just have been around and listening long enough to see that, hence that may have happened that week.

Tex adn DEP on movies Its now WAYYYYY cheaper to ,make a movie by like 50 times cheaper in the last 15 to 20 years than before digital! Ask me how I know.....been doing that biz for over 30 years!
