The bar for excellence is held by the religious, not high, not even low, but left non-existent as god. The religious are compelled by lack of reason to compensate with fantasyland vocabulary used in an academic setting. Power is addictive, & the Christian enjoys the delusion of having a deity handy for ultimate free passes & answers. Projecting certainty of having been authorized by a deity, just feels right. Seeing the purchase of fantasyland vocabulary is a bonus. Any god outside of fiction is an absurdity the illiterate observes. Freud wrote the antidote to Christianity is literacy. Those with one foot in fantasyland authorize themselves to weigh-in on whatnot as if Earth had gravity-free zones & magic. If there were a god, you would think he would produce something with all the computing power, instead of guys wearing hairy coats, eating bugs & dipping. It is the religious who don't have ears to hear, being a wicked generations seeking signs. These are the wolves in sheep's clothing: My sheep hear My voice, Even Jesus The Nailed, says faith is worthless if you can't move mountains by voice-command. The religious don't have ears to hear, the books of God are filled with faith & prayers: Nothing fails like prayers in a children's hospital, the religious are only into convincing themselves. The Religious Podium Jockey should not take himself so seriously, nobody should. The religious have no quality-controls. Theologians grant the titles to each other without a deity certification. One might expect a deity to make itself known to everyone without work performed in interpretations of old literature by guys like our verbose podium jockey. Who in their right mind promotes travel as if best done with one foot in fantasyland vocabulary? Nothing fails like prayer in a children's hospital, and these wolves in sheep's clothing advocate prayer & faith verbiage; ignoring Jesus Christ said faith was worthless if you can't move mountains by issuing voice commands. A house divided cannot stand. We vote because Christians have no quality-controls, & we desire those governing not making suggestions travel is best done with one foot in someone's fantasyland. 'Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.'' Let us all forget it was secular law & order ending the inquisitions & witch-killings. Let us ignore a wicked generation seeks signs. Freud wrote the antidote to Christianity is literacy. The Christians slapped their books on the Old Testament, & the Mormons glued theirs on to them both, thus proving Christians lack quality-control. A deity unable to be acknowledged by everyone is a forgery based on literature. Think not I come with peace, but sword. I come to divide this that and the other thing, & I give you tax exempt status. Oppression builds character among the dominated. Who do you think nailed the king of the Jews, when Imperial Rome controlled temples & publications? Just for the fun of it, have their Messiah say render to Caesar? My sheep hear my voice. Think not I come with peace, but sword. The literate of the age; built religions & made propaganda, devalued the currency, too. Marvel not I say you are all gods, and so on & so on. Faith is a fantasyland term, & the Christians hate to hear it. If faith had any value, then you could move mountains by voice-command. "Furthermore, whenever any person or group of persons in a position of great power, and without the full knowledge and consent of the public, uses such knowledge and methodology for economic conquest -- it must be understood that a state of domestic warfare exists between said person or group of persons and the public." - Silent Weapons for Quite Wars 'Violence at the core': Trump could face 55 years behind bars in DOJ indictment

What’s your take on “who wrote” Deuteronomy? I’m reading from some Hebrew scholars that think it was written by multiple authors years later and isn’t divinely inspired.
@OverviewBible Жыл бұрын
I doubt we'll ever know definitively who physically wrote which words in the book of Deuteronomy. But here's my current take (which may change over time as I continue to study and learn). 1. Given the absence of historical evidence for the person of Moses, I doubt Deuteronomy (and the rest of the Torah, for that matter) was written by the figure described in the book. 2. Given Deuteronomy's emphasis on centralizing worship at "the place" YHWH designates, and given that "the book of the Law" was "found" during Josiah's time, I'm comfortable with the idea that it was developed to further establish Jerusalem as the only legitimate place of worship. 3. Given the prophecies about the exile and return, I'm also comfortable with the idea that the book was further developed post-exile as an apologetic for why the people of Judah were displaced. 4. Until we can prove there is such a thing as a god, we won't be able to prove that any text is of divine origin. This goes for every book of the Bible, not just Deuteronomy. I hope this is helpful!

Annem Burada God. Is. For. You. the verse you are referencing here is a small part of God’s law showing (similar to all his laws) His perfect (holy) nature and standard. This is why it’s important to know the whole story of the Bible not just the Old Testament. God knew that our tendency was to break his law and not do it to His perfect standard that why He sent His son Jesus Christ to say to all of humanity “I know you are struggling to live to my standard and because I want you and I to be on good terms I am sending my own Son to die and suffer instead of you having to die and suffer for rebelling against my law. All YOU need to do is admit that you CANT possibly live to His standard without His help. And my Son will ACTUALLY come and meet you in your humility and give you a new heart to follow my laws and make you WANT to do good and obey me so that you can be holy like me” God loves you, you just didn’t get to the good part of the story yet... @@jasonyeszkonis8364 You are right. Exodus 14: 5-10. The Pharoah who was against Moses also led the army that went after the Israelites and he drowned in the Red Sea along with his army. Since Pharoah personally went to fight against Moses and the people of YHUH, his highest and most trusted officers and soldiers also went with him, to protect their Pharoah. There was no one left among the most respected leaders who could document anything after that. YHUH did a total wipeout.

Michelangelo created a sculpture of Moses and depicts him with horns coming from the front of his head. Why is this?
@ammaromerika3 жыл бұрын
I read somewhere that it was a result of the bad translation of the book, where instead of translating "his head glowed in an aura" they translated it as "his head grew horns". The translation he used was very old, and the knowledge of languages they had in those days was pretty limited. Even today, with other religious books, there is always that problem that appears in translation, because not everything can be translated word to word, and often, context is very very important. I hope this answers your question, even though it is maybe a bit late.
