Nice diagnostics master Mike. I didn't realize that engine had a timing belt. I've had a Atlas Copco XAS 80 DD with DEUTZ F3L912 for over 30years. Only problem was the compressor was replaced 15 years ago after dust intrusion. Engine runs great when I need it, Should I be looking at the timing belt? It has well over 7000 hrs if I remember. Thanks for sharing TGP

I don't think that a 3L912 has a belt. If it has a injection pump on front cover I think it has gear to gear. but thanks Tom !!
