some of the old ford uk diesels used to use the cam lock pins or a flat bar slot type but i know the crank was on a threaded pin type some of the bigger ford diesel used to use a pin in the fly wheel a pin in the injection and a pin in the cam which is in the block but as push rods and the cam is driven by a belt that was the new generation engine great video mike cant wait for the next part

When Deutz went to rubber timing belt s a disaster. We had two with failed belts bent valves pushrods. In Bobcat s and jLG boom lift. I have old 511 gear drive lasts forever. Germans made a big mistake. Deutz Fahr tractor s awesome related to Rudolph Diesil . Excellent channel

I have a question a little off topic but have had trouble finding info, I'm building a boardtrack racer out of an old bicycle and using a villiers midget mk2 engine and it has very low spark, I myself thought it was the coil but since have been told to re magnetize the magnets in the flywheel, looking for info on how to go about this and thought of you, any ideas or info? Thank you in advance

Seems like it will be a good machine in the end, that's some kind of strange timing set-up... you'd think it would be easier to simply make the gears with perhaps one spline less or SOMETHING so that the gears only can be installed in time but I guess not having to have the gears in a certain position to install the timing belt is somewhat of a plus. Good diagnosis on that bent bit, works slick now.

I have watched 3 videos, I still haven't heard how to time injection pump with crank and cam or is there something I missed?
