Matt Damon saying it's the best time he's ever had on a talk show. It was really sweet
@R1PPA-C8 ай бұрын
Have you watched the whole episode? all three of them were at a premiere literally just before coming on here and we're already half cut before downing drinks, so funny... Plus it's only his best time on a talk show because Jimmy Kimmel has been nelgecting him for 20 years XD

I think it is because, unlike USA talk shows, on G Norton, you say or use or express whatever interesting four letter word pops into your mind while telling a story ... and nobody cares! The audience howls with laughter because they are crazy Brits!

I always amazed at how much I laugh at these clips even though I’ve seen them before in the full show format. Graham has to be the best interviewer in the world and I really feel that his guests enjoy the show as much as we do.

@@Claire-k5q graham is okay if you are british - american humor is different. And Craig understands americans - and is the best late night talk show host that ever was - he should have been offered the late show but it was all very politically motivated and look who they got to replace that late night show - a brit who was forced to leave in shame. go figure
@Essemm528 ай бұрын
@@Jus-v3z Craig Ferguson might well be funny, but it’s not about the host per se, it’s about the guests and how the host *and* the other guests interact with each other! Graham Norton has the knack of putting his guests totally at ease, and also for putting the right combination of people together with often uproariously hilarious consequences! Matt Damon was being genuine when he said it was the most fun he’d ever had on a talk show, with Bill Murray nodding in agreement! (Both Americans who clearly got our British humour!) we’re not that different in what we find funny!

13:00 For everyone who has the same trouble about grammar and using they/them as she did let me assure you that it's perfectly within grammar and has been for hundreds upon hundreds of years. Think about it, what pronouns do you use if you don't know whether a person you're talking about is male or female? Say I'd be telling a story about my English teacher without telling you the sex or gender of my English teacher and you wanted to ask me a question about my teacher, which pronouns would you use? Exactly, you'd ask something like _"Were they a good English teacher?"_ to which I would respond _"Yes, she was."_ after which you'd know she's a woman and would carry on with she/her but until you know you'd instinctively use they/them so yes, it's perfectly within English grammar and has been for ages...
