I'd consider myself a fairly tough, large 48 year old man and the cat had me in tears. I have a little dude just like that. He's my shadow and the most loving cat I've ever met. I couldn't imagine going through that. I wouldn't wish a house fire on my worst enemy.

Embrace the time you have with your cat. I had an amazing cat for 15 years and had to put him down a couple of years ago, then a year later his best friend (my dog) passed away. House fire or not, a time will come when every pet owner will have to deal with the loss of a pet. It’s never easy, but the companionship and memories are still worth it.

He was a sweet guy, and my cat now really looks just like him and acts just like him. He was a kitten when I had to put down my old friend but they were close. I feel like he's living on through my younger cat.

I have seen homes and families destroyed by fires like this before because I was a volunteer firefighter for years, but this one hit me hard because I feel connected to you Video Bob being a fan for years now. I am so thankful your lives were not taken, and kitty is doing ok, I was bawling crying wihen the firefighters were working on him. I too have furbabies and they mean the world to me. I am so sorry you lost so much, and so much damage was done to your home and possessions. I understand a lot of them are not replaceable and that must hit you very hard. Take one day at a time thats all you can do at the moment. And I have a feeling your loyal friends and fans are going to support yall as you rebuild. I own a residential construction company in Michigan that does everything from full remodels to fire, storm and water damage remediation. If your insurance company, adjuster, and contractors are decent, you should be back in your home in six to nine months. As far as the sheetrock goes, because your walls are not textured, they can easily be cleaned. If the ceiling is flat, that can be cleaned too. If it is a textured ceiling, forget it and start over... The only rooms that will need new drywall will be the rooms that experienced water damage and actual fire damage. Your roof should be covered by your insurance company since the FD needs to cut the hole to "vent" the fire. Most of my customers put their larger stuff in the rooms that originally had their doors closed while their home is being repaired. That helps save on storage costs. I hope my comment helps you or someone reading this and I am truly sorry that this has happened. I couldn't even begin to imagine the feeling...

People often think of military veterans but fire fighters do so much for us including Risking their lives especially the volunteer fire fighters who sacrifice their time to help their community as well as people in need. That's why I support and drink fire department coffee they are fire fighters veterans who give back to all those brave men and women fire fighters that were injured in the line of duty.

Word. The firefighter searched the entire house carefully until he found the cat. With fire and smoke all around him. I'm also super close to my cat - she's such a sweet little soul. ( also 20% gremlin - lol ) I'd... I don't know what I would do. And yes, I've spent hundreds on her before at the vet. I guess this hits me a little harder as I'm also a Vegas local and live a couple of miles from where he does, though I've never gone over to meet him ( didn't want to intrude ).

Bob. I went thru that. I lost everything. Now. I’m telling you my world ended and I saved my cat. I gave him mouth to mouth on the front lawn as my house burned. It’s been a while. I have more than enough stuff now and I had rare albums and signed albums. All vintage Star Wars toys. I have fond memories. But that’s all they are. Not suggestion you will ever forget but time helps. I let insurance take it and they cleaned and rebuilt my house. I still have things that have a black film. Eventually I just thru them away. Take care Bob. Let the insurance do their job. Clothes. Sometimes they will never get cleaned no matter what.

My god.. from a firefighters perspective that is their daily work, sadly. From a house owner’s perspective that is just devastating, sad and scary. I am so glad that you, your wife and your cat didn’t get injured. Posting this video on your channel will scare people and make people more aware of what they leave plugged in. E-scooters, e-bicycles, mobile chargers and many more devices causes fire. I am so sad to se the tragedy with your home and I wish you all the best for recovering and rebuilding the house. Hopefully your video vill warn viewers and prevent more fires. I live in Sweden and I will keep my eyes open for a B&O furniture. I know they go for 100-300$ depending on conditions and so on. And Hyundai is fighting it. I'm over these lithium batteries and I just got rid of my e-bike 20 minutes ago. Thank God you and your family are safe.

The firefighters did a fantastic job. You both kept calm, doing what you could until they arrived, opening the gate and directing them in was key. They cut a hole in the roof to ventilate the hot gases out of the attic as fast as possible, this helps cool the house down and prevent a total loss from a flashover. It’s great that you have sufficient insurance (I hope that you have your art collection covered separately) and that you managed to save what you did. You tried to put it out, 2 minutes earlier and you might have managed it. People misunderstand how dangerous the lithium batteries are, so many fires are being caused daily due to these highly reactive and sensitive bombs. Get your art work to specialists, same with your HDD/SDD, a data recovery specialist will be able to get them back for you. Best wishes going forward to you all.

I lost my place in 2017. Lost absolutely everything. It was like a blast furnace. NOTHING made it. The aluminum rims on my car melted to the ground. I feel ya brother! As long as you are okay, you can rebuild. It must have gotten really hot in that room to cause all of the clock windings to fail.

Sorry for your loss, but am happy the most important things survived, your wife and kitty cat. My wheelchair caught on fire while charging its battery. I was burned and spent 6 weeks in the Intensive Care Burn unit. My home owners insurance won't cover it, nor will my health insurance help in any way. Now i am stuck in bed without my wheels. Can't afford a new or even a used wheelchair. But, i am thankful that me and my kitty cat Miss Thing survived. That's all that really matters. 💜🐈

Bob your a man of great resources. Locate a nice camper trailer and set up on the property. That way you can use while waiting for your home to be rebuilt. Not sure how to do it in Nevada but you should be able to set up a temp power pole to get electricity.

Bob, so sorry for your loss but glad you guys are ok. I used to work for SERVICEMASTER years ago and a huge part of that business is called Disaster Restoration. They'll come in and clean all of that set off of everything. You'll be amazed at what they can help you restore. I hope this helps.
