I am a software developer all the from India. The only work that I do that needs me to physically move is my evening workout, yet I feel that there is nothing more awe aspiring then seeing a few people put in there part bit by bit to build a house. I love the humor and fun you guys have that keeps me stuck to almost 2hr long videos in one go. Thanks a lot for giving us such great content.

This is so interesting! I live in Germany, in a wooden house as well. Not a traditional one, but a modern, timber frame construction one. However, the walls are easily three times as thick, and the floor joists are not 1x12 like in this house, but something along the lines of 4x12 (although the spacing isn't as tight), just to give one example. Seems like we like to overbuild over here, or you like saving money a little too much.

Aren’t they 2X12 ? 12:08. Just noticed it after reading your comment. Not a statement lol. I know what I’d prefer 🤷🏼♀️🤭

This was an interesting insight into building a house. It’s different to how they are built here in the UK as we tend to build the outer walls out of breeze blocks and a layer of bricks. The inner walls are built differently, with metal instead of wood. Then it is plaster board to finish the walls. I remember joining my dad of the work site when I was younger and really enjoyed watching this house being built.

@Pasuha. material resources and at the time it was about standardization and building speed. I think in the beginning of our construction industry speed and efficiency was the priority.

@@pasuha.6452 It really just depends where it's being built. A lot of houses in the southeast are concrete block, because hurricanes. This area, I'm sure they don't have to worry about that, and you can really put a lot of insulation in a wood framed house for cold winters.

Hi guys. I'm a retired British builder with a carpentry background trade. I thoroughly enjoyed your video and was very impressed by the quality of your work and the obvious team spirit that you have. I'm enjoying a relaxing holiday over here in the Philippines with my Filipina wife and her family and will show them your video tomorrow. It will give them a few pointers for any projects that they are planning. Keep up the good work. Brendan 😊

First video I've watched and I watched the whole way through in one sitting and subscribed. This is great! As an HVAC tech that got in the game later in life I do appreciate not pretending you didn't nail the lineset and just covering it up. Obviously you have more reason to get it fixed rather then cover it up but I just wish everyone had this level of integrity at all times.
What a wonderful house and location. It was interesting watching you all building this house.
