Was just thinking that. Helldivers 1 had melee, extreme high risk vs reward given the friendly fire potential.

For me it is even more upsetting because for me knives don't fly straight but e bit to the left :(

i guess its because they're counted as grenades. u cannot perform a melee-attack with any grenade in hand, which is sensible if it were'nt for the knives.

All grenades should get a melee attack, if only for the utility when you equip them right as a jetpack bot lands on you, or when a hunter pounces at the wrong time. Thermites could stick to enemies on melee, and trigger. Impact grenades could just blow up on melee, and it’d be hilarious (especially if DEMOCRACY PROTECTS). Knives will one day have melee, it’s in the code, but it’s a wonky engine with spaghetti code, so things take longer to implement than we or the devs would like.

If only i had a pc that could handle this game at its best Dont get me wrong its honestly cinematic as hell even on low settings i never really cared about graphics but gods when i see the videos of this game i want to spend my unexistant life savings on a proper pc

So, does it speak to the Helldivers' badassery that we can throw knives through an automaton's metal skull? Or is it just a testament to the bots' poor construction standards? Seriously, sometimes I think that the B1 battle droids from Star Wars would find the basic bot troopers embarrassingly bad...

fast reload, one shots commanders, doesn't take backpack slot, highly mobile, and can kill heavy enemies good pick for solo gunning cause it can instantly take out commanders which are normally damage sponges, and against single heavies can also take them out pretty quick with good shot placement (2 shots charger leg armor, 5~ shots bile titan head) quickly becomes less useful against multiple heavies or redundant if you have teammates running recoilless or autocannon

I really hope we get some serious change for the throwing knife, it's just the worst throwable in game right now, plus it fly so baaad, it's slow and don't even go the right way, and it does not have anything special, no melee attack or anything, really disappointing stuff.

@@LightCrasher Brother, if you were talking about fall damage you need to say that on a video that is about exploding enemies. You cant just say somthing like that because the context of the video changes what you say. 😭 I thought you were saying to nerf impact damage from the actual explosives and railgun.

@@LightCrasher It really does not fit unless you were to say something like "They really need to nerf the force of the impacts in this game". Other than that though I don"t think it's too bad, I mean surviving a 120mm explosive shell alone is crazy so being flung in the air seems fair enough.
