This is something to always keep in mind. Before the Candidates 2024, Gukesh wasn’t even on my radar in the chess world. Then all of a sudden, it seems like he’s everywhere, but it’s not true. This kid has been at it for years, working hard to reach this point. Success is always the tip of the iceberg. Hard work and dedication is everything beneath the surface.

Honestly, this is the best interview I've seen in many years. I don't remember when was the last time I saw any interview of more than 30 min at one stretch. The reason i could see is everything what Mr. Rajinikanth tells is very natural and honest. There's no wonder why Gukesh is doing very good. This interview reminds me of the Phogat sisters' story. How much does one have to sacrifice to create a champion, the only difference is there at first it was kind of the father's choice and here it was all Gukesh from the beginning and his dad just supported him all throughout.
