That drives me crazy. Yes, Indigenous leads seem rare but roles aren’t. We never hear “White roles are-“ because human is too often presumed white. She’s got the skills. For any role. I want to see more of our stories but we can also just see more of our (and all) people in the the characters that already exist.

Been a fan since I saw Rhymes for Young Ghouls (a few years after release), especially after seeing Devery in Reservation Dogs, knocked it out of the park on all fronts. Was a bit sad she didn't have more of a presence/role in Echo, but did a great job, hope to see more Devery in the future.
