If you believe your vote has an impact, then, mathematically, your email has ten times the impact of a vote because the number of constituents who write emails is ten times smaller than the number who vote in elections. That’s also why people who vote in primaries have more impact than people who vote in general elections.

It was refreshing to agree with so many of her statements. To avoid stepping on the toes of state's rights, maybe an antitrust investigation into interstate self-dealing could be considered. If a company like Amazon evades fees and taxes by operating domestic and international logistics for their own products at a better rate and performance than third parties, for example. Perhaps an investigation into ISP and wireless carrier agreements to avoid each other, in order to provide fewer or no alternatives, so they can inflate rates in a vacuum of competition? That could run tandem with work the FCC is hopefully doing, sharing the load of what is one of the most well-known anti-competitive and anti-consumer oligopolies harming Americans.

The problem is, they are more informative, less entertaining, so some people don't watch them or read articles on her. If it's not entertaining, some people just don't follow the news, which isn't good. I'm sure Lina Khan knew what she was getting into, and i think she wants as many diverse audiences to understand what the FTC does. And that requires doing different types of interviews. She's very good at rolling with the punches and also not taking the bait, whether it be a funny or serious interview. She always seems to be able to stay on message for her agency.

John Stewart wanted to interview Lina khan on Apple TV and Apple wouldn’t allow it. Then when he interviewed Larry summers and challenged corporations like Apple of monopoly business practices and greedflation his show was cancelled.

The FTC needs more funding to tackle this in more industries. Unfortunately the small penalties will not stop companies from doing what all Americans hate. Add on subsidies, taxes breaks at the state and local level, as well as medicaid and other federal benefits for underpaid employees means not only are they not capitalistic but rather we are subsidizing predatory businesses. A CEO can make millions to hurt everyone else just to show an inflated profit margin for stock holders. I say inflated because the subsidization of corporate america to line their own pockets needs to stop. They don't pay enough in taxes, salaries, benefits, and thus rape the American public financially in many ways besides just low wages.
