you can tell that paxton was heartbroken when devi cheated. i think devi brought out the good side of paxton and he actually caught real and raw feelings for her. Even when she was doing his work for him you can tell by his facial expressions that he wanted to be with her and that he was hurt. He even wanted to stand up for devi when his friends called her crazy but he was scared. we can tell he was hurt and that devi was special to him. I also feel that devi is so different from other people in paxtons past dating life that he knew she was special and irreplaceable.

I still think Ben and Devi make a better match. This season really had me feeling more of the love for Paxton and Devi though. Here's how I see the love triangle Ben's feelings for Devi are stronger than Paxton's cause he seemed way more hurt "emotionally" (🚗) after the cheating and breakup. Devi likes Paxton more made evident by her chasing after Paxton at the party. Devi being jealous of Ben and Aneesa honestly I had trouble buying that had anything to do with her feelings for Ben, it felt more like she was threatened by Aneesa and weirdly possessive of Ben but not heartbroken seeing him with someone else. Paxton likes Devi because she makes him a better person which makes you want to root for them but Devi feelings for Paxton still seem shallow liking him for being hot and popular. Devi has chemistry with both and even if Devi and Paxton are together for now, Ben and Devi to me make a better fit.

I mean, cool that he's getting better at school and stuff, but have they ever even had a deep conversation? My pov, it boils down to someone you want vs. someone who wants you. Paxton has the advantage as Devi's crush from 3rd grade. But Devi was shaken by Ben, she hesitates to choose Paxton straight away because of the potential. (Which lead to unwise decision of dating both at the same time) After the cheating incident, Paxton said to Devi "we'll never work out", he closed the door, limiting their relationship to tutor/friends. Devi realizing what she's missing with Ben, overlapped with her jealousy to Aneesa. The banter was their thing, Ben was ready to all in. Both men had seen Devi crying at different occasions, but dealt with it differently. Paxton respects her, not saying anything and just helps drive her home. While Ben always speaks rationally to her when her emotions overflowed and make Devi realize her worth. It's hard to choose, both had pros and cons. Devi needs to be more mature and have more experiences to know what she really wants and which pairing will work out best. So I'll just take it as the story goes.

When she spends all that time being jealous about Aneesa and Ben during the charity event instead of helping Paxton study...she clearly prioritized Ben and that situation over Paxton. If it was always about Paxton, she would have spent time with him and helped him study. I understand why Ben is hurt because it appeared that Devi was rekindling things with Paxton immediately. Ben thought he lost before it even started. If he had thought he could still be with Devi after the fact, maybe he would not have been so rude or mean. He was well within his right to be mean though. Uhmm… When Devi got bit by a coyote, Paxton took her to the hospital. He also stayed with her. When Devi fell in the pool, he helped her again and gave her a ride home. Ben on the other hand was just staring. He can’t even make the excuse that Devi and him aren’t friends. Paxton did all of that while him and Devi aren’t in good terms. Also, in season 2, when Devi was crying on the way home, he was also there for her.

Ben definitely hasn't moved on. I think he realized that he missed Devi when they were doing the project with Aneesa and Aneesa forget the order of the cards making them lose the court debate thing. In season 1 he was always there for Devi and didn't act like he was ashamed of her, but this season it felt like the creators wanted to show that he didn't deserve her by portraying him as being afraid to show up with Devi in public as a couple and that was until the end when they went on the dance floor, he couldn't even look at people's faces he was so ashamed smh. I didn't like Paxton's episode either, it wasn't that deep Idk I feel like they want to show us that they just don't fit together because they want Devi to end up with Ben and that he is the right one and has always been there for her. Also, Devi had been trying to keep Aneesa and Ben away from each other because Paxton had previously said they weren't a good match anyway and it was absurd, etc. I mean hello, he was deeply hurt so it's not abnormal for him to talk like that. That's why Devi thought he would never love her and had no hope, but with Ben, she knew he had loved her. That's why "it has always been Ben". So, it hasn’t really always been him, she just took him because Paxton made her think she had no chance with him. Also, Paxton was much nicer to her than Ben was. However, I think if there is going to be a season 3, they should show more of Paxton's feelings towards Devi and not portray him as an unworthy guy who doesn't appreciate his girlfriend. But since I think they want Ben and Devi to end up together, they will do just that.

But Paxton did develop a bit but devi needs to pick one bc I know in the new season it's going to be another love triangle bc at prom Eleanor told Ben how devi was going to chose him so now I feel like he's going to try and get her back or something, chose one and stick with the person Devi.

Yes, Ben was with Aneesa but just after he was betrayed. And guys Devi just passed all the limits this season. I know Paxton is growing and it's good and he was betrayed by her too but he wasn't good for her either and even if Ben was trying to moving on he was there for her. He is always there for her and he is the only one who really helps her with her mental issues besides the therapist. Paxton can help her physically sometimes (when the coyote bite her or she fell in Ben's pool but we can see Ben looking at her too so if it wasn't for Paxton, I'm sure he'd do something) and she helped him in school but everyone needs someone who will help us from dyeing inside and help us to stand up. And Paxton is going to college before Devi and Ben so I think this relationship won't last. She likes him especially by he looks and popularity that was something she ever dreamed of but she has something bigger with Ben. They have such in common and they make each other grow up and became better with support and challenge. And they have a tension and chemistry stronger. Paxton is colder even with a good heart and Devi is really intense, Ben catches all these feelings and looks from her beacause he is sensitive and warm even if he is always playing with her. They can talk about everything and they can laught and understand each other even more than Paxton does. So it's way I think, she will date Paxton but not be endgame. A relationship just last if you're best friends and Ben and Devi were enemies than friends and they are the one who listen to each other and really help so they had a powerful grew. Devi wasn't nothing for Paxton and now they started to hang out and become closer but they development wasn't bigger than Devi and Ben. And Ben is a nice guy to her friends too and her family likes him. It's really good. I'm still team Ben even if Paxton has good points too because there is just one Devi and I had to think about all the points and their history. And the best one is that he helps her with her lost...... It's the thing that most hurt Devi and the therapist and Ben are the only ones who really listened to her about that. And he Always protects her. And of course he is rich and handsome..... This are good points too.

The thing is I really do believe Devi truly loves Ben. From the start Paxton was just really hot and thats initially why Devi fell for him. Paxton may be hot but he treated Devi so badly, and Ben was always there to remind her she deserved so much better. While I do acknowledge that Paxton has had quite alot of character development.. who are we kidding? This is the age old story where nerdy girl falls for school jock, then he changes into an actually decent person, and they get together- except one thing, this plot line goes more like childhood friend/enemy that girl has extreme chemistry with, and the school jock. girl gets with the jock for the wrong reasons, but the jock actually falls for her. Girl realizes she's in love with childhood friend. This is the story people. I will be seriously surprised if Ben/Devi is not endgame.

If you realised ben was not only angry on devi bcz she played her double boyfriend thing but the thing which pissed him more was when everyone got to know at the party and paxton leave the party devi runs behind paxton first. He also mentioned it to devi when she tried to apologize So here ben felt more angry bcz he thinks that he was never a priority. Also he was pissed more when he saw devi spending more time with paxton when she was tutoring him. I kinda feel he dated annessa in a hurry to get over devi or to make her jealous but things doesn't work out. I mean that daisy episode he seemed to look highly dissatisfied with aneesa in that debate activity. Even at the dance party he was a bit off instead of having a perfect date. I mean aneesa is cool but he still doesn't have feelings fir her. He was still somewhere stuck on devi. The look on his face when paxton humiliated devi he was super angry and came to condole devi. He even tried to lighten up the atmosphere a bit fir devi at the dance night. Also the look he gave after Eleanor tell him devi side of story. His eyes said it all

I’m seeing comments all over the place but y’know none of them are entirely in the right. Devi cheated on them obviously. Paxton used that to his advantage to guilt Devi into doing his homework. Ben pulled the whole tattoo piercing thing (which yeah well deserved but revenge overall isn’t very mature). Devi tried to tear Aneesa and Ben apart and started the rumor about her. Paxton said him and Devi didn’t belong together implicating it due to their social statuses and then wouldn’t publicly be with her which is understandable but don’t be with her then? It is pretty crappy to keep her as a secret side piece even if she screwed you over. It’s all just very messy.
