Thanks Dev, so many fun things to talk about going back into Schlage history. Gone are the days of their great handcrafted locks, the Zodiac and the Haida were masterpieces! In terms of key sections, lets not forget the venerable restricted numbered series of 12xx, 13xx and 14xx. I still have some 1247's in my "keep or recycle" bins...

This video is great. I’m one among the asmr lock pick channel there. No other sound except picking, clicking and setting. It gives different vibe to the viewer who like more action than talk 😆.

The Lishi tool seems like it would be very useful in the actual field, but every time I watch it being used on KZbin I can't help but think that - in a way - it almost takes the "art" or "skill" out of lock picking.. Never the less, it's clearly an amazing tool and I'm surprised it wasn't thought of sooner than it was. Schlage week was super cool and interesting. Looking forward to the rest of your "keyway weeks" ?? Not sure what to call them haha. Especially looking forward to YALE week !! I have been trying to research why I have a few locks with the Yale Y1 keyway, but one in particular (my cut-away practice cylinder) has almost twice the depth on the key pins compared to my other locks. And I've seen this difference in the length that the pins extend in other videos with similar key ways. Hopefully you cover this on Yale week :) Cheers!

Here in Australia it's pretty rare to see Schlage locks. I'd actually love a Lockwood week for your Aussie viewers as they do a lot of profiles as well and are also known to be fairly hard picks compared to a lot of other brands.

Couldn't tell the pinning as the scales on the Lishi were unvisible in your video. But I did order a SC4 to accompany my SC1 because reasons, but from Covert Instruments because right now your store is down for upgrades. Even though most of the Schlage locks in my life are five pin, had to have the six pin Lishi because reasons. Because of your tips I finally picked that one new Schlage hand set I bought just to mess with. Thank you. It was scary quick how a novice like me was able to pick my home kwiksets with a Lishi. Which is why my employer construction company considers kwikset a slum lock, not for use in high end remodels.

I believe the bitting is 31337. I may have gotten a little help from the extreme close up of the keys from SWD1 at ~4:15 and your Schlage Key Decoder. ;) Also I just realized that if that is indeed the bitting, it is pretty "eleet", lol.

I could check through my Ilco catalogue, but I would hazard a guess the SC20 tool is designed to specifically allow you to pick the “L” keyway. In nineteen eighty-two, there was no such thing, because I asked my distributor about it. If you have “L” keys, then you should be able to buy “L” plugs/locks in which to use them! Schlage, evidently, do not think that way. That was, of course, long before Schlage was sold, and moved out of San Francisco.

@@DeviantOllam Though I'm not fully sure about your setup but it kind of looks like your lighting is a little too direct. If you diffuse a little more of it and play around with it You can probably get the quality to look even better. That being said. If you're replacing the camera anyways, You're better off adjusting your setup for that camera instead lol. I'm looking forward to seeing how your videos improve as time goes on!
