@@dvjxnz I agree with you fam ,if they were nerfing UF4 because of damage then they shouldn't have reduced b 2,1 uf damage. If they did both they should have atleast buffed WS 2 in some way,Maybe made it -10 or something. Jin Kazama has 14 frame WS launcher with tons of damage and far reaching wall carry but its just -12.

@@Anivrat1 wave dash into ws2 is one of most satisfying things to do and took so much time to learn. its just annoying how kazuya gets an easy mode safe launcher w limited weakness if used right leading to 100 damage with wall then kaz mains say that devil jin still has good mids in comparision. the reward for something so difficult is so low compared to what other characters can do it makes me just want to use regular jin who i actually find much easier to use but i love devil jin more.

That's now. He got nerfed pretty hard. Mind you I've always had relatively bad damage with him compared to the other Mishimas. He's kind of like Jin in Tekken 6 where his options to use the game's combo gimmick are generally mediocre (all his Tailspin moves either do crap damage/scale like hell or are difficult to land in his best staples). I have to cash combos out faster in the name of reliability, which leaves damage on the table. Devil Jin's main strength is versatility but I think that also comes with the caveat of bad synergy (many of his neutral options don't blend together well to give him a consistent gameplan, IMO). He's a challenging character to use even if he has great potential.

Devil Jin without b2,1 wall combo is just pathetic. His uf4 was pretty cheesy and could do without, but going back to either 1,2,b4 or laser scraper as wall combo just kills him. DJ is at his weakest state in Season 5.

@Gianfranco Suriano electric and hellsweep became weaker due to the fact that ducking against devil jin isnt scary at all. most ppl including the mainman dont even do ws2 out of wavedash when playing him as its punishable and often being safe will win games. u4. is a great panic move but its hardly used as an argument due to the fact that it will be hardly used in game. if u get hit by it more than three times in one game ur just awful or over aggressive. if it was so great devil jins would spam it. id rather have magic 4 than u4 if anything.

@Gianfranco Suriano his mid string isnt as great as u think as many characters have similar range in df2. its good but nothing actually special. its only cuz hes a mishima that ppl say its strong but the mishima style in tekken 7 is not even that strong to begin with due to the high risk that goes along w it.

Leroy is just cheap, even with all the nerfs. Leroy deserves all the nerf devil jin’s got. Devil jin doesn’t deserve nerfs. Akuma, anna, lee, more leroy, feng… these characters all deserve nerfs, not devil jin.

@@yenice3652 well thats because that pretty much is the only starter that gets him 70 without wall, with wall on most moves like ws2 he can get around 70, but thats unsafe and requires execution to cancel into out of wavedash, so hes pretty bad rn compared to regular jin in the vortex and damage aspect but hes got some good pokes and ranged counter hit tools, and laser scraper is a great homing move
