This game really deserves a remake to be on par with the rest of the games in the series. Without the features that they may cry 2 introduced that we are familiar with today, then it wouldn’t be possible.

I i agree with you while It may sound unpopular opinion to others but for me I wished devil may cry 2 would have been remake similar to resident evil 2 or 4 dead space and Final Fantasy VII Remakes with advancements and improvements over the qualities visuals graphics production values directions voice actings writings dialogues AI animations game mechanics weapons enemies bosses plots storylines concepts characters especially Dante personalities characterizations and developments Being true and aligned to DMC 3 1 4 or 5 also reconstructing updating revamped Improved and fixing the worst and weakest parts of game and expanding enriched enhanced and augmented the best most redeeming and enjoyable aspects of devil may cry 2 especially having all elements from devil may cry 5 like game mechanics weapons combos gameplay executions and AI while modernizing updating reinvigorating and retaining all mechanics gameplays AI and best most enjoyable and memorable parts of devil may cry 2 to have own things while being faithful and respectful to original game while being far bigger better overall superior and climactic than original game just like devil may cry 5 also hopefully it remake of DMC2 shall have Lucia a bigger roles spotlights and upgrades she rightfully deserves plus retained many likable sympathetic and badass treats and qualities from original to remake also many ideas concepts and potentials of original devil may cry 2 not only be used and implemented but nether rushed nor wasted plus perfectly executed and done right also doing justice to original DMC 2 also having horror elements from original and first devil may cry to be used and incorporated in DMC 2 remake having right and good balances and combinations of horror suspense thrill and actions also having the hearts souls magics and fun that made devil may cry 1 3 4 and 5 special unique memorable and beloved in first place but also having horror suspense thrill and action element from original and first devil may game incorporating In devil may cry 2 remake while respecting and honoring the original and first devil may cry while making remakes it own things and both redeeming and done original DMC 2 justice

Lol you said "pathetic excuse of a stinger" the story goes that DMC 2 was in development hell for 6 months and when Itsuno was sent to salvage the project, literally the only thing that was finished about the game was the stinger attack .

You know, I actually got the platinum for the game a couple of weeks ago after doing the same with 1. I bought the DMC Collection for my PS4 after reviving my love for the series with 5. And boy oh boy... It wasn't hard at all, just goddamn boring. And that's even worse. Hell, I had more fun fighting Nightmare 3 and Griffon 2 on DMD in 1... Also, the most fun I had with this game was playing as Trish, probably because she got the old move set, you knowy the actual GOOD ONE. Capcom definetely should remake 2 just to redeem themselves. It has potential, so why not use it? Remake the whole thing, upgrades, was weapons, levels, everything. PS: I goddamn love the MGR music in the background.

I've heard so many people describe this game as "average" - I have to wonder, what sorts of games do those people play? DMC 2 is utter trash, no mechanics interlink or have been fully thought out, none are balanced correctly, every enemy composition is repeated ad nauseam, every single boss is either plain broken, or painfully uninteresting... I have never felt so annoyed when playing a game as with this one.

Y'all know DMC2 was bad because it was handled by a ghost-director. That guy(who should remain anonymous)hated Dante's personality in DMC1, so he made him mostly mute and an edgelord(worse than DmC Donte, tbh). Lucia, the new character introduced is wasted potential, with her arc and story having botched execution. It was due to the aforementioned ghost-director(the opposite to the usual ghostwriter), and DMC2 developed within 9 months; not that long after the first game released. We couldn't brag but thank Itsuno and Morihashi to create DMC3 and save the franchise; and Dante retains his original persona, but also acts quite goofy(which was carried to DMC4 and DMC5, as they churn the goofiness from Dante up to an eleven).

I remember getting very impatient with the combat in this game. A lot of the time, I spammed ebony&ivory and just waited for the DT to recharge, so I could blast enemies faster. I went out of my way to use the sword because otherwise it's so boring. I also remember taking loads of hits on purpose during bossfights, so I could use the Sin DT (or "desperation DT" as this game called it), because it just chews through boss life bars in a couple of hits.

The best thing about this game i.m.o is some of the music tracks... Like the 1st stage and the Mission Start. Other than that this is not only the worst sequel I've ever played but by far the most disappointing game I have ever played. Thank God For the follow Up of Dante's Awakening!

@@KnoxCarbon True. Better gameplay too. Also, very important, it had actual plot. Dante might have been like a bad version of Nero but I prefer that to robot Dante. Also, the dialogue was bad in both games, but in DmC it was better; including the voice acting. Demons were better too.
