Actually you need to start everything from 12:31 backwards, then you'll save transfer to DMC4 unlocking the sword for both Dante and Nero from the get go.

They based his Yamato gameplay off of Vergils moveset in Dmc 3 which is why its so limited as they didn't expand Vergils move set til years later in Dmc 4se. Edit: Also since he barely has it its probably more towards when Dante and Vergil switched weapons.

best easter egg. fight arkham with dante and vergil plug in a controller to play vergil on the original ps2. or use dopple ganger and super dante to have REAL co-op and do the same thing. plug in a controller and player 2 controls the shadow. funny enough this was a hidden feature in allot of old PS2 games. it also works in shadow the hedgehog. i let my brother kill the last boss by himself as sonic. they do almost no damage so it took forever but it was fun
