Unfortunately dmc5 doesn't have that level of glitchy tech anymore Jump canceling still works, but jump canceling always worked

Devil trigger summon sword for nero, combine them w/ slash, the summon sword can be done w/out shooting, there for the angelo stay in air between your slash, but you have to learn the timmings. in DEv trig, on air Slash JC slash shoot(quick, before the slash ends it animation, so nero wont shoot but throw a summon sword) For dante, do an ebonyivory charge shots between your combo on air.. or w/ shotgun (its hard timmings).. OR a devil trigger shot is a charge shots on air even pandora,

I played on keyboard so no sliding involved) I believe I used spacebar for jump action back then but rebind to "k" or something later on to be near to attack button "j". Yeah i didnt use mouse and it was painful to relearn new keybindings) I remember seeing some video about JC with camera on controller and dude was indeed using sliding technic.

Getting the hang of it, Buster hold cancels and Helm breaker cancels are the most difficult for me. Also, for some reason, I just cant seem to enemy step off the massive scarecrows, never feels like i’m close enough.

Im the master of maxect attacks on the ground but those combos are really hard to learn on a ps3. Jump cancel is easy but its hard to load shot max ect attack and jump canceling into creative combos while your in air.

It feels so natural to me when playing with vergil. Beowulf acts same like in dmc3 but it never crossed my mind to use it with Nero. I felt like there were better alternatives.

For some reason I can't customize the d pad buttons separately (in dmc 5 nero's controls) all the d pads selected all together at once when I try to customize them ( but I can customize them separately in Dante's controls)😭

You gotta just do what works for you. I have L1 as guns, square as jump, X as style/DB, and circle and DT. Just experiment and see what works.

I am currently preparing myself for the new DMC 5 and I wanna get good on DMC 4 first. I am having a little trouble with JCing. I succeed on canceling my aerial attack by jumping the first time and then I couldn't keep it going because the enemy falls too fast. Any tips for keeping it longer? I also config my controller so that I can slide my fingers.

derVadok hey great tutorials on this game you and a few others really pulled me into this game from the play mechanics alone I like a challenge I was wondering are there any videos of you or those on the same level of play if how you may hold your controller I think that would definately kill a lot of frustration I saw this one vid of a player donguri990 I believe if I haven't said his name right, my bad, mentioned how he hold his controller for Dante but didn't have a clear illustration, so are there any I would like to see how your hands are positioned for this sliding technique so that would be one less issue to fight while trying to learn the gazillion other play mechanics that have me coming back for more abuse lol

You have to cancel the jump with another attack. In other words, you have to attack before Nero jumps all the way up! (you need to be fast)

for jump cancel you don't need anything but the enemy step, and knowledge of the enemy hitboxes to know when to jump. thats all it is.

As the other guy said. It can be done on any version if you have the skill enemy step, but if you have a pc it's easier to use a trainer so the enemies don't die, and then you can practice to your hearts content

Practice a lot man....it's pretty hard to make royal blocks. You have to pay a lot of attention to the enemy and push the button in the last moment when he's attacking. For example Memphisto is making that weird noise before he's attacking with that stinger. You have to bush the block button RIGHT AFTER the noise ended. How I said, it's hard and needs a lot to practice.

Grats tho its alot easier to do in the newest DmC lol. Try in DMC 3 or 4 since its more of a challenge there as timinig matters alot. in DmC the enemy is more or less a platform so cancel success is significantly higher :))
