As a longtime fan of the Devil May Cry series, I always wanted to make a great tribute video to Devil May Cry 5. And with that to Dante and Vergil the Sons of Sparda! So here it is, my tribute / AMV to the brother's struggle and path to reunion. Fully created and edited by yours truly. Hope you guys like it as much as I loved making it!

Yes, it was a blast watching Dante go from being a bad ass devil hunter with a heart of gold and load of backstory to draw from and expand upon to being downgraded to a bland action hero stereotype with no real personality or storytelling to make sticking around for his 'journey' worthwhile. Tis indeed a tale of promise being curb stomped by shallow 'style over substance' storytelling. But Dante looks 'cool', I guess that's all that matters to the fans of the franchise anymore.

"FOOLISHNESS! Is rushing in blind all you can do?" -- The exact quote that made me want to replay DMC5 just to _fight better_ next time around. Because of Vergil's insults I ended up getting S ranks on all Human and Devil Hunter missions, where before I was averaging Bs and the occasional A. I still think that for being absolutely new to the games (playing them I mean, I've watched a good amount of the others), that Bs and As are kinda aight.

The story of the devil may cry games are like episodes in a serie. things just happened to turn out the way the games do, like, the pope happened to turn evil in dmc 4 and dante had to assasinate him leading to the events of the game. A man suddenly happened to give dante an invitation from another man who happened to be his brother. it isnt like lord of the rings where every part follows up the last one

vergιl мυѕт dιe I have and they aren’t exactly wrong. Sure, the games have some reoccurring factors in them from previous games but the main focus of the games are normally random, and the only reoccurring thing tends to be either “VERGIL IS BEHIND IT!” or “VERGIL HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT”. I think DMC5 is the one game that actually had a storyline that’s main focused was continued from a previous game (DMC4). Basically what I’m saying is the DMC games have a storyline but it’s not as consistent/apparent as most other story based games, where they’ll continue exactly where they left off.

Non existent world building, awful writing, dull characters, hell even Nero felt like a lame ass OC palette swap of Dante. I guess your idea of 'explaining' is 'fart out a vague line of dialogue now and then'. I just assumed Yamato had a nose for sniffing out devil kin and reacted to Nero's dormant power. I guess maybe if the game had spent less time wasting mine with dumb action sequences and spent more time telling a story that's worth more than a C- I wouldn't have such an aversion for all of the entries just short of the original and the reboot

Very powerful and emotional tribute. Way better than mine. I usually based an old things that was made in 2000-X and so forward. Music surely familiar, sounds from Marvel movies. I love dmc5 so much I'm so glad how it ended. I had a grin from ear to ear watching almost every cutscene. That game was complete fan service just how 3 was complete redemption. Only thing 5 missed was a co o20 bloody palace but never say NEVER dmc5 I love you. And yellow motion I bow to your editing greatness. Wish I had more dmc fans to show this too
