Why mentioning Arkham? Vergil wanted that guy to be dead for sure. Dante and Nero? Nah, just scratch them a little while passing by, they'll recover :D (I'm not talking about the last battle against Vergil at the bottom of the tower. It was completely different thing from their previous encounters)

He left Arkham to die by bleeding to death, Vergil didn't "shoot" the body so to speak. And I meant the first boss battle with the brother, he left the moment they didn't need to continue.

I don't think Vergil left Arkham bleeding to death, he definitely killed him there (or so he thought). Why "shooting" some weak thing if it's already dead? But he never truly intended to kill Dante. In the first battle he was just testing him trying to awake his TD.

Though I wouldn't count on devil arms obtained in the previous game to return at all. Apart from the characters' signature swords and basic firearms they never did so far. DMC 4 Vergil with Force Edge and Beowulf was already a hack because he didn't have any story. Also, people pointed out DMC 5 might play out even after 2, which would widen the timespan since he obtained stuff like Pandora even further. But that's not to say they won't design a new weapon that has a lot of the same functions, like Ifrit/Beowulf/Gilgamesh.

Mike, TheAnimated Yes, that’s how it goes. If you finished 2, it shows Dante riding his motorcycle in hell because he got trapped there. But seeing Dante at the end of the trailer shows that he has a beard coming in which usually means stereotypically that one doesn’t take very good care of themselves, but how could he since he’s been in hell this entire time. This shows he finally escaped therefore taking place after 2

OwnageIsIncluded Dude, in this trailer Dante looks to be in his late 30's or early 40's, not his fifties. It wouldn't make sense for Dante to be in his 50's because then Nero would have to be much older as well. Nero was 19 in DMC4, here he looks mid 20's at best. That means Dante is probably in his late 30's or 40's like I said. Also, where in the fuck did you get Dante being in his late 40's in DMC2? He didn't look anywhere near that old. If he did, he'd have to look even older in DMC4 because chronologically DMC4 is after DMC2. Seriously man, I don't know where you could even get numbers like that.
