I'm surprised you didn't mention how DMC and MGS have a similar character relationship dynamic. Father is a praised hero that saved the world, Mother, Eva, bears twin sons, A power-lusted brother with inferior complex; even becomes a plot device just by being a hand. The torch will be passed on to another young man who's been relatively clueless in the series. No luck with women... or money... any recognition for their goodwill... seriously...

In my opinion DMC anime was really good, the plot was cheeky but Dantes and his loli adventures were really fun to watch and had an Hellsing vibe. Also Rock Queen was badass

I thought I was hearing fan fiction the first time I heard Nero was supposed to have a sibling relationship with Credo. Credo literally just glares and looks like he wants to murder Nero before he actually tries to no questions asked.

@@Knightess that's what I'm saying. It's hard to believe that him and Credo were close in any respect, forget being close enough to consider him family and to be traumatized by his death. Hell, DMC4 didn't even care about Credo. Was he even mentioned afterwards? Nero squares up with Sanctus and all he has to say is "This is for hurting Kyrie." Oh, did you forget how he also killed your "adoptive brother"? Seems like Kyrie did. She also didn't have anything to say about her now dead brother who we can actually see she cared for and that he cared for her.

@@alastor8091 from what I hear the DMC 4 novel he mentioned does go more into Nero's relationship with both kyrie and credo as it explains that Nero spent the early portion of his childhood in an orphanage that kyrie's family would volunteer at and that was how Nero met Kyrie and Credo and the family eventually took a liking to Nero and actually adopted him sometime later so Nero grew that familial bond with the family and I could be misremembering but I do believe that the point Nero's arm transformed was during a demon attack on the family and that kyrie's parents died in the attack with Nero only being able to save Kyrie and Credo altho as I said before I could be wrong about the attack

Bruh, the DMC1 Novel is awesome. It has great world building, an interesting story, and surprisingly fleshed out characters. A pretty cool moment in the book is in the final battle with Gilver. Dante is losing and is about to die, so he does the unthinkable: he says "fuck you" to the Gilver (gasp). Now I too at first was weirded out, but then I realized something. Dante doesn't swear because he's trying to be cool, he does it because he legitimately hates Gilver. I mean he's done some really fucked up shit to Dante's loved ones, because duh, he's the bad guy. Dante then proceeds to kick Gilver's ass. Now if your still on the fence of Dante swearing, Hideki Kamiya doesn't mind a bit. Kamiya worked very closely with the author, Shinya Goikeda,while he was writing it. In the book's afterword, Kamiya says that Goikeda's version of Dante is pretty much 1-1 with his interpretation of the character. Bayonetta swears and people don't mind, so if Dante swore once in this book, I wouldn't mind either. But fuck DiNo/Donte. Nobody likes him. It's a pretty great read, and in my opinion, its probably up there with DMC3's story. Sorry for the long winded comment :)

My idea to integrate both universes would be to have DmC set in a pocket dimension created by Mundus to make experiments using copies of Sparda mixed with other creatures. I'm however very pleased with the direction they went in DMC5.

With DMC multiverse idea I don't know if you heard one of the rumours going about with how DmC would end. Basically Vergin would turn into a Raptor demon and DMC Dante would come through a wormhole saying about saving the multiverse. I think there was also something about kids being drained to fuel some demon shit but that was along time ago, it's just Vorgil getting on the floor and doing the dinosaur and Dante and the multiverse I remember.

It's alright, but it definitely could have been better. The point of it as what Dante does when he doesn't take the Big Jobs we see in the games. Its mundanity helps the characters flesh out, but hurts the viewers' watching experience.

to be fair 4S, this happens alot in localization... For example, in official translation of the yakuza series Kiryu is depicted swearing more often then he actually does in audio like adding words "Fuck" and "asshole", i understand some japanese words can vary in meaning but don't overdo it with character who supposed to be mostly passive

That's not quite the same. Those characters don;t ahve a "voice" in English, so we derive how they talk from the subtitles. Dante DOES have a "voice" in English, so we have something to compare it to. And it's wrong.
