The guy making this said this is in his universe so it won't be exactly like the games like what he did with the Castlevania show But he also said each seasson will have a different song, intro and vibe, he said this season is set in late 90s early 2000s the PS2 era I recon each season will be his take on the games so S1 could be DMC3, S2 would be DMC1, S3 would be DMC2, S4 would be DMC4 and S5 would be DMC5 cus the intro shows enemies and swords from all 5 games

Great reaction! To keep your hype train going. I am going to use trailer time stamps, and keep track the following color scheme Red = Dante, Blue = Vergil, Purple = Sparda: Regarding the swords you got most of them right, but there are 3 from DMC2: Vengance, Merciless and the ones from Lucia. The amulet thing, interestingly red here represents the human world (Dante embracing his humanity), and blue the demon's world (Vergil's embracing his demonic heritage), but after a closer inspection, the red side of the amulet holds the key for the demonic and the blue side the key for the human; representing what both Dante and Vergil require to become complete. Quick frame at 0:46 is the sigil of the Order of the Sword (Sanctus', Creedo's and Nero's order), in Sparda's scheme, purple. 0:54 is Nelo Angelo, Vergil's corrupted by Mundus. After that at 0:59, you see Sparda devil's form in a purple scheme Interestingly, the last bit at 1:06 throw alot of enemies, but most notably the Secretaries (synthetic demons) and Arius (the human bad guy) from DMC2. Seeing the Secretaries, as well as her weapons among Dante's in the first frames, I would 100% expect Lucia to appear either this season or a future one (fuck yes, Lucia recognition!) Extra: The lyrics fit hilariously, "Hey Ladies!" after presenting Lady, "Hot mommas!" would have been perfect for a Trish cameo ngl, "Pimp daddies!" followed by the White Rabbit *wink* A bit spoilery though: The White Rabbit is from the DMC3 prequel manga, which involves the 7 sins and it is Alice in Wonderland themed. It is heavily hinted that White Rabbit is either a puppet or Arkaham himself in disguise. Theory time: They are going to retcon a little bit regarding Arkham and Lady. Arkaham is going to be the suit and glasses guy from the opening (check the transition between the rabbit and that man at 0.58). My take is that Arkaham is not going to be presented as Jester as his demon form, but rather the White Rabbit. My take is that this season will retell DMC3 but it will additionally introduce the villains for next seasons: Mundus and Aurius. What role Arius and his synthetic demons (as well as Lucia) are going to have, got no clue. Lady is going to a have a slightly different background, probably as the member of a highly-trained paramilitary demon-hunting group involved in a personal vendetta against Arkham (family bond is going to be kept though) and I am willing to bet that we are stuck with Dante using a partial Devil Trigger when he changes his eyes till he gets the proper awakening at the end of the season.

I think they are going to use some plot related things from DmC, like the mirrored reality thing, mix some characters in one, like Bob Barbas and Arkham (at least I believe the guy in the red glasses is supposed to be Arkham). Lady's clothes look like they are an uniform, perhaps a private security kind of thing, and we see the symbol of an organization called 'Darkcom'. Maybe Arkham is still playing the good guy here and throughout the anime he'll show his true colors (something like he's actually working for Mundus) and make Lady defect and join Dante? I'm curious about how they'll introduce Vergil, because we already saw Nelo Angelo there, so... will we see him before or after his downfall and turning? And so many things too, like Arius and the Secretariats, the Order of the Sword, so many references and things they included in this... I hope we'll be able to see it all (please don't cancel it before that, Netfllix ;_;)!

Doesn't stay true to the style of the games? My brother in christ, the GAMES ARE CRINGE TOO. Have you PLAYED them? Did you forget about lines like "I should have been the one to fill your dark soul with LIGHTTTTT!!!" The games are cringe on purpose, it's part of their charm and they keep that charm across the entire series. It's called being campy. I am skeptical on whether netflix will screw this up too, don't get me wrong, but we've only seen a campy trailer so far, and that much is pretty on brand for DMC in my opinion.
