Welcome back and thank you so much! Would love to see (hear) more of these ❤

Yessss! 😄 Love it! 😍👏 A tip for viewers: click/tap *_Settings_* and turn *_Stable Volume_* off to experience the original, full dynamic range of the audio (otherwise, the softer sounds will feel too loud, and the loudest sounds will not feel as loud as they should).

i would turn more stabilization on in the video settings. On a large screen its not a good feel :) ... just my suggestion.

Welcome back! Speaking of sound traveling… One of the finest microphones in the world is made by a man who lives in Finland. His name is Martin Kantola, Nordic Audio Labs. A fine man, friend, husband and father.

Thank you, Destin for sharing this with us. Maybe one of these days you can join Matt while he tours he does on TMBH. I would love to hear the sounds of the of the older churches.

You showed us how the shape of the ears helps us tell if something is above or below, now you need to show us, with some Binaural sounds above and below you when you record! All the stuff you're recording so far, is on one axis! On a different subject - I'm really disappointed that this hasn't caught on! We should have binaural movies and video games by now - can you imagine how frickin cool that would be

That's because he's facing the camera when he does it. Your headphones were the right way, he just said them the in the wrong order that he did them.

"En Saga" by Jan Sibelius would have been appropriate background music for this. The language of Finland is called Suomi. It's in the same language group and Turkish and Japanese. Destin, that's an absolutely enchanting video. It very much made me want to be there.
@SamiKankaristo3 күн бұрын
Very minor correction: the language is called "suomi" and the country is called "Suomi". Language names aren't capitalized in Finnish, like they are in English.

Can't help it anymore, but you should have insulated the microphones better from the rest of your gear. Now the thumps of your walking comes through, rendering the audio not accurate to what walking in this kind of terrain actually sounds like to the walker's ears. Believe, I know what I am talking about, being a native to that region...
