Stoked for this marvel event in a n Omni. But small details that irk me - the DR on the hardcover and spine strip breaking up the wraparound art - both so unnecessary.

This era of Daredevil is so confusingly collected: ▪︎ OHCs 1-4 (vol 5 onward discontinued) ▪︎ 2 Zdarsky Omnis coming ▪︎ Devil's Reign Event Omni ▪︎ Omni Vol 1 contains the exact contents of OHC 1-3 ▪︎ Omni Vol 2 double-dips 10 issues to the event omni I already have OHC 1-4, (So Omni 1 is entirely redundant FOR ME) and I have pre-ordered Devil's Reign. I will be Pre-Ordering Omni 2 when it is available, because Daredevil (2022) #1-14. Once Omni 2 arrives, OHC 4 wil become entirely redundant. So my shelf is gonna be: ▪︎ DD Zdarsky OHC 1-3 ▪︎ Devil's Reign Omni (for the tie-ins) ▪︎ DD Zdarsky Omni 2 [probably donate OHC Vol. 4 eventually] The DD tax is very real on this run [if you've been getting the run from the beginning].

Thanks for breaking it down. Looks like my shelf will be looking the same as yours. I am so upset that the ohc's got discontinued! Especially since ohc #4 and omni #1 have really nice covers. I am also debating even getting the devil reign omni since omni #2 has the main run... What do you think?

I'm in the same boat. Until the last moment, I hoped that they would complete Zdarsky’s entire run in OHCs, including the main event of︎ Devil's Reign and #14 issues of the 2022 run, because in total this is 21 issues, which perfectly fits the format of OHCs (10/11 issues for each), but we have what we have. On the one hand, I would like to have the entire run in the Omnis format, which would have continuity in the spines on the shelf, but on the other hand, damn it, I never want to part with my To Heaven Trough Hell vol 1. So I'm going to do the same as you and just sell/donate my OHCs vol 4 and buy Devil's Reign Omnis and DD Zdarsky Omnis vol 2.

@@sanchelo I know right!? It just feels odd to have only the 2nd omni and not the 1st. What is the 2022 series that you are mentioning? Is that the continuation of heaven through hell after the devil's reign?

@@shanemanak3390 Yeah, same for me. It’s kind of strange for me to have the same series, the beginning and end of which are in different formats. Yes, The Red Fist Saga is a continuation of Zdarsky's 2019 run after Devils Reign relaunched at #1 in 2022.

I was on the fence with this one. Once Zdarsky Vol. 2 with the contents were announced, I decided to hold off on this one. The main event is a great read!

@mrwasi99 After the first volume of Chip's run, you should read Devil's Reign 1-6, Woman without Fear 1-3, and Devils Reign Omega #1 before jumping onto his relaunched series. All of this is contained in Zdarsky omnibus volume 2.

Hey did you ever inquire as to why the Luke Cage mini that wasn't released was not put in here? At least three issues were finished before it was unceremoniously canceled a week before release. They put unfinished series in the Empyre omnibus, was really hoping they would do the same for this.

@@Alvarakk Three issues were in the can already. It was promoted and already had three issues fully solicited. There's an article out about why it was canceled, some fear of backlash nonsense, but it still would've been perfect for this kind of complete story omnibus. just saying.

Definitely not. The ten issues that will be included in the Zdarsky DD Vol. 2 omni (DR 1-6, Woman Without Fear 1-3, and DR Omega) is definitely enough. The rest of the stories in this omni are okay but certainly not necessary.

i think maybe they're trying to double dip as many omni vol 2 buyers as they can...seems to be a marvel trend putting these types of omnis out before another more desirable with similar content streets ie WotR, XMen Prelude, etc

Not a fan of the rock music used in the background, it gets very annoying very quickly. The old way with just you speaking without any music was much better. Just my feedback 🗿.

Thank you for that. Out of curiosity did you get new headphones or speakers? Because I’ve used subtle music in the background remixes by my buddy 2Mello and Jfox for about six years now. So I’m wondering why it was noticed in this video and not others.

@@NearMintCondition Same headphones, different phone. This one has Dolby stuff so I actually noticed the audio quality being better than my old phone. By the way I watched some of your old videos and in some of them I can't hear any music playing, so it's just your voice, while in others the music is VERY subtle but it's not rock music so I think that's another reason why it is more difficult to hear. So for this particular case I think it's a combination of rock music (instead of a more chill tune) and maybe audio balance? By the way I'll always keep watching your videos, it's just something I wanted to let you know 🤣.
