Hi Pete, first off mate don't you worry about your rambling on as it makes these video what they are which is full of useful and unbiased info, I sometimes have to watch it twice due to me being old and senile so I can take it all in😬🤣 As you said there is no noticeable difference in the finish from both guns, IMO they are both great basecoat guns I used to love my GTI Pro 1.2 with the TE10 as it is a pleasure to use and just lays the base perfectly even if you are a bit off with your speeds, distance and overlap it just holds your hand and takes care of business for you👌😍 Then along came the DV1 1.2 with the B+ aircap and that quickly became my next goto gun for base, I wined and dined it then fell in love with it🤮😅then that was it my poor old GTI Pro didn't get a look in as the DV1 is a great base gun👌it's effortless to use and lays the base perfectly, I've been using a bigger tip the 1.3 for base to try and get a better finish but you are doing the total opposite by using a 1.1 that's a very interesting idea🤔 Ok thanks mate a very interesting video👌👍

Pretty work Sir, pro lite te 10&20, and 1.2 for my single stage, and clear.( when I use it) definitely recommend the pro lite. Have a good one, cheers

Hi Bryan, Sounds like the 1.2 works well for a single stage. Normally, I use 1.4, but I'm guessing maybe your marine materials are a little different, or maybe you need a slower application . Thanks, mate 👍

When it comes to being battle tested hands down tekna wins the war. 18 wheelers to high end the is no other gun that has versatility out the box. The hv20 that comes on the Tekna basecoat is a beautiful setup Great video Pete

I accidently shot a panel on my sons car with an HS clear through an HV20 (thought I'd put the TE10 on) at 29-ish psi (HV20 should be 24 apparently) and it was the best CC finish I've had yet contrary to popular belief.

Hi Pete love my prolite its absolutely effortless, just set it and go had no issues with it whatsoever I've personally had no need to purchase the DV1 range and as you've mentioned you can get caps for different applications so it's a winner for me 👏👏👏👏

Hi Dean, That's why I put it in my top 12 and not the DV1. It's as good, more universal, and two-thirds, the price, what's not to like, cheers mate 👍

Hey Pete, I do love the GTI's and tend to use the TE20 for clear as it is faster when painting, but I don't like the price of gasket/seal kits.

Hi Mate, The TE20 is universally recognized as a great clear cap and is used by most. Just for that, most will be TE10 for base and TE20 for clear. Spares prices are expensive for Devilbiss, but then they are for most leading manufacturers. It doesn't take much to get you thinking if its is worth it or not, often forcing people to buy another, which is the game, I guess. Cheers, mate 👍

Hi again, mate. I say that because it may not be safe, it's just to cover me in case something goes wrong when people do it. Paints are flammable, so you need to be careful 🧐

Hi Pete, Thanks for your helpful videos. Quick question: does the hose matter? PU vs PVC vs rubber vs something else? What to avoid? Thanks!

Hi mate, the diameter can matter, too thin, and you may not get the air flow, I use rubber these days as it stays flexible in the cold

Do you actually look at the PSI or do you just go by the sound of gun as you are spraying?
