Today I am making simple deviled eggs my way. I will also show you how to boil eggs to peel them easily. This is gonna be good!

I always add a little vinegar to my deviled eggs to make them pop. Smoked brisket on top never hurts. Bacon works in a pinch!

Deviled eggs might be a polarizing topic. Is it Southern? I use way more mustard and way less mayo. I bet there are as many recipes as there are Easter Dinner preparers.

Yes! Many different ways to make. I haven’t settled on a recipe yet so I watch a handful of videos every time I plan to make them.

A little tip...I make mine with mayo and a splash of mustard and then add real bacon bits. They are amazing!!!

That's how I boil my eggs too. I never have any trouble getting the shells off.

looks delicious! that's pretty much the way I make them too...maybe just a tad more mustard. I think a little green olive slice looks cute on top and tastes great with it...but completely optional 😂❤

My Momma always made her deviled eggs with Miracle Whip, mustard, salt pepper and a little sugar. I make mine the same. My husband was not a huge fan of deviled eggs til he tasted mine, now he will eat them all if I don't watch him. lol

*"A lot of this is to your taste and preference."* The most important part of cooking! If you don't like ____ in your egg mixture, don't use it! All that's required for this are eggs and something to make the yolk mixture creamy and flavourful. I like your way of sprinkling paprika over the top, I try so hard to just get it on the yolk part and it ends up everywhere so might as well just sprinkle over the whole plate 😄

hard boiling eggs in the instant pot also makes them super-easy to peel. you pressure cook on high for 5 minutes, allow to rest for 5 minutes, then do a quick release & a 5-minute soak in ice water. they peel perfectly.

The key to easy peeling is getting the membrane with the shell that is located directly under the shell. You can tell you have it when you look at the egg white, it is shiny.

I LOVE deviled eggs! I use the same cooking method as you, except I shake the eggs around in the pot after they are done boiling to crack the shells, then add the ice water...they peel like a dream every time!

I made these today. They were great! BTW, I followed your boiling instructions. It was life changing. The eggs almost peeled themselves!! My husband was impressed. He watched as I peeled the eggs. You definitely can teach an old cook new tricks. Thanks.

Sounds really good. I always like a little onion powder and a dash of garlic powder in mine, and I don't use mustard. My mom always used the paprika garnish as well. Thanks for sharing!

Snipped chives are good, so is a small amount of sweet pickle relish. Those look tasty.

Boiling and peeling is perfect.... Tried other methods as showed on other cooking shows like cooks country, Martha Stewart, an none work this good.. thank you!

I love to serve mine with a slice of green olive on top! I have also seen recipes that add avocado in the yolk mixture and top it with tajin and crumbled bacon.

Quick tips; 1) When removing the shell, start from the rounder end. Give it a good crack and then start peeling. The gap between the rounder end and shell will allow you to grab the membrane and make for easier peeling 😊 2) It may be a little more work but dredge (flour, egg and breadcrumbs) and fry the cooked egg white halves. After you add the filling, put a few bacon bits on top. 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋

I add Duke's mayonnaise, yellow mustard, a small cap full of Vinegar or pickle juice, salt & pepper mix well. Sometimes I like to add chopped pickle chucks to the mixture or I will just add them to the top along with paprika! Its so yummy but I boil my eggs 🥚 the same way and it turns out great every single time. They peel perfectly! Thanks for this recipe. I haven't tried the Dion mustard in mine but I would like to give it a try.

I am always the one that makes deviled eggs for family gatherings because mine were deemed best years ago. I use yellow mustard and top with paprika. I always add some dried parsley and a splash or two of white vinegar last because that gives it zing! Also I mash my yolks with a fork before I add any ingredients.

I feel so vindicated! Exactly how I do mine! Also scoop into a sandwich bag, cut the corner off and pipe into the whites. Way faster and neater than scooping!

This was lovely to watch as it brought back so many memories to me. I have always LOVED cooking for friends and family and I would cater for lots of different events, (funerals were always quite big because of visitors to the home). I used to do big platters of sandwiches, dressed up with edible flowers and different herbs, also my Devilled eggs seemed to be a big hit. I put curry powder in mine and a sprinkle of paprika. I used to send my son to the family concerned with trays of food and he did the driving with his sisters ready to do the delivery. I haven’t done devilled eggs for such a long time , this has put me in the notion for making some. Thankyou, as usual a lovely video.

We make ours the same way except add pickle relish just a little, I do not like horseradish in mine, I actually do not like horseradish at all. Enjoyed.

I do that same method, works perfectly every time. Also quick suggestion for Easter: After you remove the yolks from the egg whites, you could totally dip the egg whites into a cup with food coloring and water to get pastel-colored deviled eggs.

@@youdabuddha7468 Get a cup of water, put a few drops of food coloring in it (i use a watery one, not the gel kind, but maybe they will work too), and stir it in. Then just take one of the egg white halves from the boiled eggs (with yolk removed), dip it into the water. Longer its in the water, the darker it will be.

Love deviled eggs! There must be a million recipes for deviled eggs, I typically season with ground chipotle pepper half and half with smoked paprika, garnish with a thin slice of jalapeno.

YES thanks so much for sharing this! I struggled with peeling hard boiled eggs for soooo long until I discovered this method (I actually knew about it before I saw your video but Im glad you shared so everyone can know the secret!) ALWAYS boil your water FIRST before adding the eggs - the shell comes right off! I also add a little baking soda to my water too! Your deviled eggs look delicious!

Works the same if you put the cold eggs in cold water with a tbs of salt then bring to boil. Simmer on a low boil for 10 minutes then immediately put in cold ice water for a couple minutes. Been doing this for years

I was going to write the same thing until I saw your post. Usually though right when the water begins boiling, I turn off the heat and just let the eggs sit for 25 minutes.

You do everything the right way (my way) 🙂, except I mash the yokes well with a fork before I add the other ingredients which makes it very creamy. Thanks!

Can I ask you something, usually when every time i boiled an egg, the yolk always going to the bottom part and make the egg shape quite weird for making deviled egg, any tips?

Sometimes I add pickle, usually though I add a little bit of minced scallion. Some people put some bacon on top, pickle, olive, pickle or many other..

Hi A!!! Your eggs look good. I have never ever used mustard in mine. In 43 years of cooking I never cooked with mustard because my dear husband ♡ hated it. I liked it but just on my own sami s!!! Nice video!!!...

I'll try the cold egg in boiling water for Easter dinner, hard to peel eggs is the worst. I've also heard fresh eggs are harder to peel than older eggs. Not sure if that's actually the case though.

Paprika should go on last for visual purposes. Its not going to add much flavor wise.

I add a tiny bit of sweet pickle relish, finely chopped sweet onion, miracle whip, yellow mustard, salt and pepper topped with a little paprika for color like my mom did. Yum. We usually only make these for holidays but I'm thinking.....

Just throw some ice in the water w cooling boiled eggs. That will make them peel perfect n make them cool to handle..

I take a zip lock and put the yolk in there and squeeze it into the whites. Makes it look fancy also

After peeling always keep a bowl of water n dip the eggs n the rest of the shells should drop in the water

I learned a few years ago that the fresher your eggs, are the harder they are to peel once hard-cooked. I do love 'em!
