One of the best climbers of all time!!!( And it's more than just climbing grade numbers) The cam placement @1:27 was solid. Those were just video fill-ins anyway. Notice how the cameraman was too far away to get that shot? Check out the video of her free soloing in Africa for a real mind-blower!!!

I personally think "she climbs like a girl". Difficult to explain clearly, and difficult to say openly, but I feel something in the line of "she feels like a girl when she climbs", or "she enjoys being a girl when she climbs", something like that. She's so good, and she's so beautiful indeed.

the grigri lets the rope go when it passes slowly through it, and stops the rope when it goes faster ( when the climber falls ), same system as a security belt in a car

Yeah that's what happens to a rope when you forget to flake it and pull it from the other side once in a while. But we don't expect soloists to know how to maintain and keep a good rope that doesn't tangle and also to hire/ make friends with a belayer. Regardless, one heck of a climb. I honestly don't believe in putting my own life in unnecessary risk for a few thrills. But then that's why I am a rope climber with a belayer.

Wow what an unusual looking rock face. Not the most dangerous solo climb perhaps because she could use counter-pressure most of the way, but the awkward positioning of the legs must have been strenuous.
