Tangalang22 He still writes with them, but he's doing his own thing for GGD. If you watch the P4 documentary, he explains how it works. Long story short, he just doesn't actively tour with them. Since that's the case, they have the pre-recorded bass tracks so the mix isn't screwed up.

I started listening to periphery about 2 months ago and haven’t been able to listen to anything else. Nolly explains that he fits in the mix with Misha and Jake like one big instrument that just blasts your ears off. Their soft stuff is great and Spencer is just the icing on the cake. Definitely check them out if you’re a fan of heavier/melodic stuff. Thanks for listening to my rant.

Sikth, the criminally unknown forebears of djent and a band that Periphery are heavily influenced by , make fantastic use of slap and tap in odd time signatures and their bassist, James Leach, is brilliant! The outro of “Skies of the Millenium Night” is a great example

I was super bummed when Nolly left Periphery. I dunno how they'll find a replacement. He's an amazing bassist. Nolly and Geddy Lee are the reasons I want to learn bass. If I could ever have a quarter of this dude's talent, I'd be pretty stoked.

He's still very much a part of the band, but he just no longer tours with them. He has continued to play all the bass parts since Periphery III and is heavily involved in the mixing/production side of things. It is a bit weird that they play to his backing track live though! I agree regarding his talent, no questions, but his tone is also legendary... it sounds so massive but yet it cuts through the mix excellently. Love Nolly.
