Also wrong, calibrating the compass does not define the home point. Where you takeoff, or perform the csc is where the home point is defined.

Does the Inspire use the same app as the Phantom 3? If so, there's a gimbal tilt adjustment in the app. Doesn't save it from one session to the next, so you have to set it each time, but it works.

What editing software do you use or recommend that is cheap? I use the iPhone version of iMovie and it's good for simple stuff, but doesn't do close to everything I want. Btw, I'd love if you watched some of my videos, I'm a huge fan and I try to make them like yours. @devingraham I take a group of young adults on multiday adventures in back country settings. I always take my GoPro Hero 4 Black, Olympus TG-2 iHS, and my note 5 phone. The GoPro and Note 5 shoot as high as 4k. The olympus only shoots up to 1080p. Should I record everything in 1080p or get what I can in 4k? Should I record at the same frame rate?

@devingraham at about 9:57 your video starts to have a line through it kind of like a glitch. Do you know what it's form? I have the same issue when I apply a color correction using Lumetri Color in CC. And the only way I can fix it is if I delete the lumetri effect that I applied.

hi. i can add. after calibration. go in the dji app on youre tablet. go settnings and make youre way to the drones sensors menu. make sure the sensor MOD: is betwern 13000 and 15000 value. only then you have a good calibration... and dont hold the dtone in its belly. you can get fat and stuff on the vps camera underneeth. holde it in its head or one of the arms

I always wanted to inspire one and I never got one. My first drone was a Fanto. 3 professional and I loved it that was a great drone. I’m half tempted to buy an inspire one now just to have it in my collection not that I have some big collection I just got a Mavic pro I got to say that I know the Mavic pro is much more advanced than the phantom three pro but for whatever reason I’m not sure why I am had much more fun with my phantom three Pro that I do with my Mavic I don’t know why what part of it is I do not like flying with a iPhone screen I want a big iPad I’m 56 years old and I don’t want to be trying to see all the cool Tele Mentry stuff on a tiny little phone I like to see the maps I like to see the information that’s part of the fun for me. Anyway thanks for the great video it’s cool seeing that drone again would you guys have any input if I should buy an inspire one at this point? I can’t get a good deal on a refurbished one that comes with a three-year warranty that even covers accidents. Cost me about two grand though for everything.

You really need to do the compass calibration every time? That seems crazy. I've been flying other drones for a long time and that isn't something you need to do except for when there is an update or there is come kind of error. Why would the i1 need it before each and every flight?

there is some thing wrong that you said about the calibration of the compass. The compass calibration point doesn't establish the home point. and also in the previous drone video you said tha the phantoms have a 2 axis gimball. it actually has a 3 axis gimball and it stabillizes horizontal movements too. the thing is that you can´t pan your camera horizontally. thats it :D thanks.

I fly Inspire 1 V2.0. and Mavic Pro. I never calibrate Compass before every New tour. And Calibrate Compass have nothing to do With home point. Inspire find home point himself after some Seconds, Compass can be calibrate if you are far away from there you normaly fly. Enyway Its a Fantastic drone this Inspire 1. Even today 2018 this drone is Awsome. Fantastic machine.

I had near all modell from DJI since them start. I always want The Inspire and bouth It fore 7 month ago Inspire 1 V2.0. And what a Fantastic machine. No drone fly better than Inspire. 6 cell Lippo near 23 volt is Awsome. Easy to se In air. You have to bay exstra battery because the battery Inspire come With you have 14 minute fly time. I bouth the biggest battery 5700mAh and now I have 30 minute fly time on bouth battery. Its some year since DJI come With Inspire 1 on marked. Inspire is fore proff marked. Its the real machine!! You will be happy.

carter get your PPL! besides being able to fly the drone on commercial shoots, flying full-size aircraft is a blast! I finished my PPL at the provo airport 6 months ago and it cost about 10k working with an independent instructor. It would be worth it in the long run.

What i think is the difference between this 2 drones is that with the inspire it can be a second operator controlling the camera, and looking for what he wants to have in the image, in the phantom 4, you are the only person who is controlling the drone and the camera and you only can control the tilt (or pich) when with the inspire you also can control the pan (or yaw). There's some more little differences but I think that this is the really important ones, this is what makes it be a profesional drone, but at the same time it's a lot bigger and heavier to transport, and also twice the price.

Here in germany, drones of that size will soon require an actual pilot's license to use legally pretty much everywhere (private airspace above private property has a really low ceiling).

The Marshmallow Man A friend of mine, who is an actual pilot, said that there's a really low "airspace" above private property which you can use without having to register anything anywhere. If that wouldn't exist, it'd technically be illegal to even start those small plastic-helicopters you can get in every second toystore.

You can actually control the camera with only one controller. You just have to set up your C1 or C2 button to “Gimbal Pitch/Yaw”. Something tells me these guys don’t know what they’re actually talking about for most of this stuff.

YOU CALIBRATED THE COMPASS ALL WRONG. The proper way to do it is to do what you did but switch positions, YOU spin around the Inspire, the Inspire should not be spinning around you. Now you have created a sort of dead spot in the space you occupy.
