Ocarina of Time Link became an ol' man, too. He lost his right eye to a scar, got married to the country girl named Malon, had kids with her, became a gramps (with Malon as the granny), an' died after he was wounded in his last battle. I could tell by the ceremonial armor he was wearin'. The way he called Twilight Princess his kid by sayin', "My child." It could mean that he was his daddy. It's a rare possibility fer an elderly couple to be parents to a newborn son/daughter, but it's a reality fer elderly couples who've been blessed with that possibility (by the Heavenly Dad and His Son Yeshua the Creator makin' it possible), like Abraham an' Sarah havin' Isaac as their son when they grow old in the Old Testament (the Old Covenant), Zacharias and Elizabeth havin' John the Baptist in the New Testament (the New Covenant), AND the grandparents in Father of the Bride 2. So I could agree with theory that he's their kid (biologically). He said "bloodline" 'cuz they came from the heroic bloodline (commoners who had the Soul of the Hero). They say descendant when they coulda been direct with sayin' great-great-grandson. He also said, "My child." So he could be the pops who couldn't stay with his son 'cuz he was dead fer years (while his son still lived in Ordona province, bein' raised by the villagers), but helped him with teachin' some of the songs with them howlin' stones (with his wolf form howlin' after hearin' the wind) AND the 7 Hidden Skills. The first time Link saw his dad's spirit was when he was gonna go inside the Forest Temple. That led to his first time in the Ghostly Ether. The skill he was learnin' first was the Ending Blow. The last time he saw his spirit in Twilight Princess was 'fore he got inside the castle ta meet the Dark Lord Ganondorf (the manipulator behind the Twilight Invasion). The last skill was the Great Spin (only available when his health was full). By learnin' all 7 skills, he helped his daddy with his regrets. He was even called his "child", not just in the sense that he was his pupil, but in the sense that he was his own blood. In the dub made by Zelda Universe fer Twilight Princess, the Hero's Shade a.k.a. Ocarina of Time Link flat-out said, "To my son." He meant Twilight Princess Link. He also called 'im his son in Twilight Shadow. There's also the fanfic called A Hero's Son which has Twilight Princess Link as Ocarina of Time Link's son.

I agree. They would get writers and a director that had never played any of the games until they got hired then change everything that makes Zelda, Zelda because of creative liberties. Zelda would be played by Gwyneth Paltrow and is a priestess or farm hand instead of a princess. Link would be a prince or servant, no in between, played by The Rock. Ganondorf would be a western outlaw from the desert played by Toby McGuire and they are holders of the sacred necklaces left by the ancient kings of the past and together they summon captain planet.

I had a thought,... more like a dream.... That one day The Legend of Zelda will take its place as one of the great works of fantasy fiction, alongside King Arthur and Excalibur. An epic and moving tale of heroes and villains, princesses and evil lords, light and dark, hope and fear, and beloved characters across the endless stretch of time. One that we will read to our children before bed, just like Robin Hood or Peter Pan, and have them excited to hear what comes next. Until the day they grow up enough to play the games themselves and live the world that only existed in storybooks, imaginations, and dreams. Damn... this was actually deeply moving. I wish Nintendo would explore the story of a more elderly Link. I loved the masterful use of ambiguity at the end. @@dayshallcomeagain Yup! :) There's this intangible spiritual sensation to being in the world of Zelda. Not just Hyrule but places like Termina as well. I think a lot of it has to do with the mystery of those worlds, the words left unspoken and kept to the player's imagination.

Maybe it's just me but I loved how dark this interpretation was. Really took me back to the twisted old games of OoT, MM, and TP where you were HORRIFIED to explore certain places because of all the insane monsters and dungeons. And yet this video maintained interest of the newer generations of SS and BotW with strong emotional bonds between our protagonists and the introduction to a seemingly open world. Such nice balance, the world had story with so many minor details (Sheikah mark on the demon, the signs) that had you craving more. And omg, the elderly Link was bittersweet and fun to watch in battle, SUCH a nice touch. Yiga were hilarious with their bananas and very animated, Zelda and Link were skilled and true to character, but the elderly woman with her deranged character was the most fun to watch. I can't even fathom the beauty of the costumes, music, and effects. Everything was so well balanced, for 16 minutes I felt like a kid again exploring a Zelda game for the first time. I'd honestly love a Witcher style Zelda series, but I'd flip my shit if they made Link talk and i think it'd be a bit difficult for them to decide WHICH versions of link and zelda to translate to tv. So many people would want Ocarina of Time, others Breath of the Wild, and some might even only want Twilight Princess. It'd be hard to choose or to remain serious/faithful to each version if they decided to perhaps merge all the links and zelda together as a way to make everything more cohesive.

@Dorlinedainwen4 жыл бұрын
@@quinnsinclair7028 i disagree. You could have him quiet and do just like the game where people repeat what link 'says' and answers him normally. Eg 'oh you want to go to see the gorons?' Also strategically placing signs, using body language etc.
@quinnsinclair70284 жыл бұрын
Dorelinendenwen Ancalime Do you have any idea how awful that would be? First there’s just the logistics. Implying that a character can speak while pulling every cinematic trick you can to avoid actually showing it is a directorial nightmare. Every shot and scene would require five times the amount of planning. Even if you could do it, think about how unnatural that would look. Especially in long scenes. In a protracted scene say with the gorgon chief it will either play so awkwardly that no one would believe it or it will look like Link has no spine and is content to let the goron leader override him and assume everything he’s saying. It works in the games to some degree because we are in Link’s shoes and with a game you can have a dialogue prompt on screen and characters can respond to the prompt as of Link actually said something. The same thing doesn’t work in film. Realistically there is no way to imply that Link can speak but never show it. A film adaptation of Zelda has two options, Link speaks or Link is mute and communicates with other methods. There is no inbetween that works in a film medium.

He does all he can, lays it all on the line, and will wait as long as he needs to in order to get the job done. And Zelda, capable of defending herself, but in need of a savior.
